园林（garden and park）是指在一定地域内运用工程技术和艺术手段，通过因地制宜地改造地形、整治水系、栽种植物、营造建筑和布置园路等方法创作而成的优美的游憩境域。
园林学（landscape architecture，garden ar-chitecture）是指综合运用生物科学技术、工程技术和美学理论来保护和合理利用自然环境资源，协调环境与人类经济和社会发展，创造生态健全、景观优美、具有文化内涵和可持续发展的人居环境的科学和艺术。
autocad是世界范围内最早开发，也是用户群最庞大的cad软件。经过多年的发展，其功能不断完善，现已覆盖机械、建筑、服装、电子、气象、地理等各个学科，在全球建立了牢固的用户网络。目前，在计算机辅助园林设计领域，autocad是应用最广泛的软件，本书的写作也正是基于这一点。
