Kong Shangren (1 November 1648 – 1718), courtesy name Dongtang (東塘), also known as Shore Hall (岸堂), called himself Yunting Shanren (云亭山人). A native of Qufu, Shandong, who called himself the Sixty-fourth Grandson of Confucius, he was a poet and opera writer in the early Qing Dynasty. Kong Shangren studied etiquette, music, soldiers, agriculture and other knowledge since he was a child, and studied the laws of music, which laid a solid foundation for his future opera creation. In his youth, he devoted himself to fame, but he tried to strive for it but failed to achieve his goal. While studying at home, he came into contact with some southern Ming remnants, learned a lot of first-hand historical materials on the rise and fall of the Southern Ming Dynasty, and became interested in writing a drama reflecting the rise and fall of the Southern Ming Dynasty, so he began to conceive "Peach Blossom Fan". At that time, the capital of the Qing Dynasty, Beijing, the opera performance industry was at its peak. Kong Shangren wrote and completed the legendary drama "Peach Blossom Fan" in June of the thirty-eighth year of the Kangxi Dynasty (1699). "Peach Blossom Fan" is a representative work of the Qing Dynasty legend, the drama takes the love story of Hou Fangyu, a famous scholar of the Fushe Society, and Li Xiangjun, a famous prostitute of QinHuai, as the main line, profoundly reflecting the history of the demise of the Southern Ming Dynasty, "borrowing the feeling of clutching, writing the sense of rise and fall", with great artistic appeal, attracting many audiences, including the princes and dignitaries, so that the Kangxi Emperor sent people to ask him for a manuscript of "Peach Blossom Fan" to watch.

First of all, he was born in 1648 AD, in this era the Ming Dynasty had already perished, and he had not experienced the history of the bloody change of dynasty and the wind, and naturally there was no pain in the skin of the author of the Dream of the Red Chamber and the Jiangnan literati of the Fushe Society.

In addition, the additions and deletions of the Dream of the Red Chamber are all Jiangnan literati who have a good relationship with the original author, that is, the hidden prince of Fu Wang, and although Kong Shangren is also a well-written literati and has a theatrical talent, he is not a person of the Fu Society and several societies after all, his hometown is Qufu, not Jiangnan, and he and the leaders of the Fu Society and the Several Societies cannot have a deep friendship, and those who add and delete will not include him in that well-organized circle.

The last reason is the creation and story background of the play, Kong Shangren's father was an official in the Ming Dynasty, and after the fall of the Ming Dynasty, he met with the ming dynasty's widows from time to time. But for Kong Shangren, the grief of the subjugation of the country belonged to his father, and it was not so strong with him. In the play, he created an important warrior image, Shi Kefa, exposed the corruption and incompetence of Nanming, and flogged another important warrior, Ma Shiying. Although the author Kong Shangren portrayed Shi Kefa here mainly out of calling for loyal and good subjects, and incidentally pinning his personal values, he flogged Ma Shiying and regarded the Southern Ming Dynasty as a dark mess, which violated the fundamental concept of the Dream of the Red Chamber. The emperor in the Dream of the Red Chamber is the King of Nanmingfu, Ma Shiying is the Shenwu general, the father of Feng Ziying's archetypal character, and the loyal and good general who is famous and famous all over the world, it can be said that Kong Shangren created a glorious artistic image of Shi Kefa and at the same time greatly degraded Ma Shiying, the first emperor of the Southern Ming Dynasty in the dream of the Red Chamber, and the important courtiers, loyal ministers, and important ministers, which became the most important evidence that he was not the author of the Dream of the Red Chamber and the addition and deletion.
