In-Game Design – The Nightmare of the Logistics Department (Gustav Cannon)

author:Pomegranate Sister 16

The Gustav Cannon, also known as the "Giant Cannon", is a super cannonball developed by Germany during World War II, whose original purpose was to penetrate a one-meter-thick steel, 7-meter-thick concrete, and 30-meter-deep mud weapon.

Gustav Cannon

The Gustav Cannon is the largest cannon ever built, weighing 1,344 tons, including a transport vehicle, and the entire cannon is four stories high, 20 feet wide, and 140 feet long. Operating the "Gustav Cannon" is a nightmare for the logistics department, as it requires 3,000 soldiers to work together, plus dedicated railroad tracks, to carry and move this "super monster" and fire deadly shells at the enemy.

The Gustav Cannon fired a total of 300 shells at the city of Sevastopol, and in 1944 it fired another 30 shells in Warsaw, Poland, and it has not been used since.

Because it was so bulky, it was quite cumbersome to transport, and it could easily be a target for enemy air bombardment.

This "super monster" did not bring the dying Nazi Empire back to life in the end, but on the contrary, it became the spoils of the US army in a battle, and the US soldiers then knocked the "super cannon" into scrap iron. But the shape of this super cannon is still hotly discussed.

"Reloaded: World War II" is a single-player game, a business strategy + real-time strategy game set in the theme of World War II. Players will play the role of battlefield commander, build armies, promote generals, manage their own economy, handle the relationships of friendly armies, and use all available forces to defeat the enemy.

To thank the various conductors in the group for their help, we have begun to design the Gustav cannon. When the game was released, the Gustav Cannon was given to everyone in the group as a gift package for free.
