  After nearly thirty years of standing, Loncin returned to the motorcycle business

  Loncin is a veteran motorcycle company. In 1993, China's motorcycle market boomed, Loncin founder Tu Jianhua founded Chongqing Loncin Transportation Machinery Factory, from motorcycle engines to motorcycle manufacturing, and then to general thermal power machinery manufacturing. In 1996, Chongqing Loncin Industrial Group was established. In 1998, the first Loncin motorcycle rolled off the production line.

  In August 2005, Loncin launched a strategic cooperation with the German BMW Group to produce and supply 650cc engines for the latter. In August 2012, Loncin GM was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange. On September 21, 2018, Loncin GM's independent high-end brand "Wuji VOGE" was released to the world.

  Today, Loncin GM has become a leading enterprise in China's motorcycle industry, covering motorcycles and engines, general machinery products, commercial generator sets, high-end parts and other fields, and its products sell well in more than 150 countries and regions around the world.

  In the third quarterly report, Loncin GM said that the company re-determined the strategic development plan, that is, focusing on the main business of "motorcycle + machine", becoming bigger and stronger, and doing fine and thorough.

  At present, the combined revenue of Loncin's two major businesses of general motorcycles, engines and general machinery products accounts for more than 90%. In the first three quarters, Loncin GM achieved operating income of 9.335 billion yuan, an increase of 30.62% year-on-year, and net profit of 711 million yuan, an increase of 44.19% year-on-year. Among them, the revenue of motorcycle and engine business and general machinery products business increased by 35.37% and 39.47% year-on-year, respectively. Motorcycle business revenue of 4.268 billion yuan, an increase of 38.21% year-on-year; two-wheeled motorcycle revenue of 3.284 billion yuan, an increase of 46.75%. General Machinery achieved sales of 3.11 million units, exceeding the level of the whole year of 2020 and reaching a record high.

  He Jun introduced that the company has established a positive research and development capability for large-displacement vehicles and engines from the overall design, auxiliary analysis, engineering realization to test verification. Through cooperation with BMW, the quality control and quality management capabilities of the whole process have been established, and the non-pole products have been empowered, some non-pole products and BMW products have been produced in the common line, and some non-pole products and BMW projects have fully shared supply chain resources.   As of the first half of the year, Wuji achieved sales in 12 countries and regions in Europe, with nearly 500 channel outlets. In the first three quarters, the Wuji series of large-displacement motorcycles achieved sales of 38,300 units, an increase of 110.83% year-on-year, and revenue of 651 million yuan, an increase of 93.71% year-on-year, higher than the industry average. Among them, the domestic revenue was 387 million yuan, an increase of 43.31% year-on-year; the export income was 264 million yuan, an increase of nearly 300% year-on-year.

  It is understood that the current Wuji brand covers four major car series of street cars, sports cars, retro and rally, including 250RR, 350T, 350AC, 500AC, 525R, 650DS and other models. Among them, the 650CC displacement of the non-pole 650DS rally car listed in 2019 has a top price of up to 47800 yuan.   Talking about the market performance and future planning of the Wuji brand, He Jun introduced that the company will focus on research and development, manufacturing, brand and channels through scientific and technological innovation, and will make Wuji the preferred brand of high-end leisure sports locomotives with large displacement in China. In the future, the market layout of overseas products without large displacement is mainly based on the markets of developed countries and regions in Europe and the United States, taking into account some developing countries and regions with consumption power.

  In addition, Gong Hui mentioned that the company's cooperation with BMW has been further upgraded, and it has recently signed a large-displacement engine license contract, which was officially mass-produced and supplied by the company in 2018, and has now supplied more than 100,000 units.
