Liu Zhenyun is a native of Yanjin County, Xinxiang City, Henan Province, born in May 1958. This 5 yuan changed the fate of Liu Zhenyun's life.
Grandma did her best to provide for Liu Zhenyun, who was very tall. In 1973, Liu Zhenyun lied about his age and joined the army. This is because after becoming a soldier, you don't have to worry about eating, and you can find a daughter-in-law after you are discharged.
After Liu Zhenyun became a soldier, he really solved the problem of eating. The problem of eating was solved, and Liu Zhenyun had the energy to find spiritual food. His spiritual food is books, and he often takes advantage of the guard to read books under the street lamps, and he is hungry for all kinds of knowledge. In addition to reading literature, he even taught himself a university calculus course. Therefore, after he later retired from the army, he was able to work as a private teacher in a middle school in his hometown in Henan Province, and was admitted to the department of Chinese of Peking University as a liberal arts champion of the Henan Provincial College Entrance Examination after the resumption of the college entrance examination.

After graduating from Peking University in 1982, Liu Zhenyun worked for Farmers Daily and began to write literature.
Like most beginners in literature, Liu Zhenyun's path to literary creation is full of bumps. The editor of the literary journal does not seem to give the Peking University Chinese department a high level of face. "They were reluctant to buy an electric fan, Liu Zhenyun was bare-chested, wearing loose pants, writing while sweating 'rattling' and flowing... Kung Fu pays off. In 1987, Liu Zhenyun finally published his famous work "Tapu" in "People's Literature". Soon, "Tower Shop" won the National Outstanding Short Story Award from 1987 to 1988. Subsequently, novel works such as "A Place of Chicken Feathers" and "Officials" came out one after another, and they were well received in the literary world.

Writers write novels, and after their works are published and published, they receive a fee and royalties. So, in the 1990s, writers set off a wave of adapting their works into film and television dramas. After Liu Zhenyun's novella "A Place of Chicken Feathers" was published, he was attracted to Feng Xiaogang. In 1995, Feng Xiaogang adapted "A Place of Chicken Feathers" into a TV series of the same name, starring Chen Daoming, Xu Fan, Xiu Zongdi and others. Feng Xiaogang thought that Liu Zhenyun was familiar with his novel and invited him to serve as a screenwriter for the TV series.
As a screenwriter, you are paid. After the TV series was released, Feng Xiaogang gave Liu Zhenyun 80,000 yuan. This is the biggest sum of money That Liu Zhenyun has ever seen since he wrote a novel. He said: "The first time I saw so much money, my eyes were green, I counted it over and over again, and I loved it. ”

Since then, Liu Zhenyun has been out of control, his screenwriter "Mobile Phone", "My Name is Liu Yuejin", "1942", "I Am Not Pan Jinlian", "A Sentence Top 10,000 Sentences" and other film and television dramas have been released in turn, and in 2011, Liu Zhenyun ranked 26th in the sixth "Rich List of Chinese Writers" with a royalty income of 1.6 million yuan.
