Born in Hong Kong in 1960. After completing his studies in 1980, he joined the Shaw Film Company and finally got his wish through three interviews. The first film he participated in was Liu Jialiang's "Eighteen Martial Arts", working as a small photographer.
In 1985, he officially became a cinematographer, and his first film was "Mr. Strong Corpse", followed by important works such as "Dragon and Tiger Storm", "Carmen in Mong Kok", "Shenxing Taibao", "Mr. Lingxian" and so on... He is a photographer who is good at capturing the feeling of jumping in the city, and is often used in the film by carrying a camera, boldly using the natural light of the scene to reveal a very real feeling, known as a "moving" photographer.
