On December 15, the new car brand Box Car was officially released, and at the same time, its mass production vehicles BM-400 and BM-600 were officially unveiled. The former adopts a 5-seat layout, and the latter adopts a 6-seat layout, and will be oriented to the B-end travel market such as taxis and online ride-hailing in the future. Among them, the BM-400 has a square sci-fi appearance, which resembles the Volkswagen I.D.BUZZ concept car. Both models have shortened the front and rear overhangs and lengthened the wheelbase, greatly increasing the seating space in their cars. In addition, the front face and rear of the two new cars are set up with display screens, which can display information such as getting on and off, further ensuring the practicality of the vehicle.
It is understood that Box Auto is a technology company engaged in vehicle research and development for more than ten years, with hundreds of professional engineers at home and abroad R & D team, has been for China FAW R & D Institute, China FAW Besturn Research Institute, FAW-Volkswagen, BAIC Group, Jianghuai Automobile and other domestic mainstream car companies to provide automotive vehicle and parts design and development.
The details of the front and rear light groups and exterior mirrors of the two new cars released this time are designed with square elements, and the whole vehicle looks very similar to the "box". The BM-400 and BM-600 have cancelled the passenger seat, of which the BM-400 is only provided with the left seat in the first and second rows, and the third row of seats is provided with exclusive C seats, and the overall layout is "L-shaped".
Specifically, the BM-400 will be available in the fourth quarter of 2023. Its length, width and height are 4530×1900×1790mm, and the wheelbase is 2800mm. In terms of battery life, the new car NEDC has a cruising range of 420km and 530km, supports 600V high-voltage fast charging, and supports power exchange.
The BM-600 will be available in Q3 2024. Its length, width and height are 4900×1900×1790mm, and the wheelbase is 3100mm. In terms of endurance, the new NEDC has a cruising range of 420km and 530km, and supports 600V high-voltage fast charging.
According to CATARC (China Automotive Technology and Research Center), from 2020 to 2025, the demand for new energy vehicles in the B-end travel field will be about 4 million to 4.5 million, and there is still room for 30%-40% improvement in the future new energy vehicle market. With the B-end market favorable and user needs, Box Auto announced that it will focus on creating products adapted to the B-end travel market, solving existing problems from multiple dimensions such as space experience, entertainment experience, and service experience, and also providing a rapid realization of passengers' personalized and diverse travel needs.
