A generation of war god Xiang Yu was in a different place, so where was he finally buried? At present, there are three Xiangyu tombs in Shandong, Anhui and other places. Two in Shandong and one in Anhui.
The first Tomb of the Overlord was located in the south of Gugu City, in the east of the three villages of Jiuxian Township, Dongping County, Tai'an City, Shandong Province. According to the "History of Xiang Yu Benji", "King Xiang is dead, and all the Chu lands have surrendered to the Han Dynasty. Han Nai led the world's soldiers to slaughter him. For the sake of righteousness, for the Lord's day of death, it is the head of the king who holds the necklace and looks at Lu. Lu's father and brother are descending. King Huai of Chu initially enfeoffed Xiang as the Duke of Lu, and after his death, Lu finally descended, so lu gong was buried in XiangzhiguCheng, and the king of Han wept away for mourning." This means that after Xiang Yu's death, the loyal subordinates in Ludi, Shandong Province, did not know the news of his death and still insisted on not surrendering. Liu Bang wanted to slaughter him, but remembering his loyalty, he let them see Xiang Yu's head before surrendering.
Because king Huai of Chu had previously enfeoffed Xiang as "Duke of Lu", the area around Gugu City was his fiefdom, which was also the former base of the Xiang clan. Although Liu Bang and Xiang Yu were sworn enemies, they were also brothers, and Liu Bang still admired Xiang Yu in his heart, so he buried Xiang Yu here with the ceremony of Lu Gong. Liu Bang also personally participated in the funeral and wept and mourned.
This is recorded in the "Records of History", and the "Zizhi Tongjian", "Notes on the Water Classic", "Chronicle of the Lands" and so on all agree with this statement, as to whether there is only the head of Xiang Yu buried here, it is not known. However, since Liu Bang could personally mourn for Xiang Yu, it should not be a big problem to integrate Xiang Yu's body. Xiang Yu is dead, this can soothe people's hearts, natural advantages outweigh the disadvantages, but also Liu Bang has always been happy to do things. After Xiang Yu's death, Liu Bang later did not exterminate the Xiang clan, but was quite kind, as can be seen from the fact that Xiang Bo, Xiang Ya, and Xiang Xiang were all enfeoffed.
The second tomb of Bawang is located in Wuquanzhuang, in the northeast corner of the ancient city of Luguo in Qufu City, Jining, Shandong. There is a Han tomb here, which is believed to be the tomb of the Overlord. The reason for this statement is that during the Warring States period, the capital of the State of Lu was in Qufu, and since Xiang Yu was buried with the ceremony of the Duke of Lu, it should be in the ancient city (or ancient city) of the State of Lu. Later, the reason why the historical materials appeared in "Gucheng" may be the false rumors of "ancient city" or "old city". However, this claim is not supported by strong evidence, and many people still think that the tomb of the Overlord here may be a crown tomb.
The third tomb of the Overlord is in Fenghuangshan, Wujiang Town, Ma'anshan City, Anhui Province. The Tomb of the Overlord here is believed to be the crown tomb of Xiang Yu. It is said that after Xiang Yu killed himself, the Han army snatched his limbs to ask for credit, and the local people sympathized with Xiang Yu's plight, collected his remains and clothes, and repaired a crown tomb for him on the Phoenix Mountain, and there was also a tomb of Yu Ji next to it.
Although several theories have their own merits, more people still agree with the mainstream view that Xiang Yu is buried in Gugu City (Dongping County, Tai'an City, Shandong).
