A civilian-developed NDS version of Counter-Strike was exposed, operated using a stylus

The development of valve handheld Steam Deck meant that it was possible to play FPS games with the largest IP on handhelds, and now most of the games in the Steam library are perfectly supported, including Valve's very famous Counter-Strike CS series. While waiting for its Release in February, a private developer has brought CS to the mobile platform, and it's a very old handheld: NDS.

Developer Fewnity shows the effect of playing CS with NDS in the video. In the game, weapons are switched using buttons on the bottom screen, character movements and lens adjustments are operated by a stylus, the function of D-pad is used, and some other physical buttons control the operation of guns and other actions. This looks like the oldest version of CS, containing weapons such as sniper rifles, submachine guns, pistols, and melee knives.

While it feels weird to play FPS with a stylus, the game runs smoothly from the video. In fact, Xiaobian has played some FPS games on NDS, such as the Call of Duty series, and the experience can be described as unbearable, and I don't know how effective this folk game is.

For some time, Fewnity has focused on counter-Strike on NDS, and is currently working on the alpha version, which also has unfinished WIP single-player and multiplayer modes, which can only compete with robots. Some missing weapons, such as grenades or other equipment, are still in development.

The game is free to download, the only problem is the NDS platform. After all, not many people are playing this handheld now, and if you switch to Switch, 3DS, or even PSV, it may be much better.
