Beijing time on January 03, 2019! Recently, Lakers reporter Alex Regla tweeted a summary of a group of Lakers forward LeBron James's offensive end data this season.
"Despite this somewhat polarization, I'm curious if/how Westbrook's ability to take on the offensive burden has affected LeBron's improved offensive performance this season. Westbrook's 31.6 percent utilization was the most used teammate during James' Lakers career (no other player exceeded 27.7 percent). The reporter wrote.
Regla then summed up James' other offensive-end stats for the season:
32% usage – his lowest since the 2012-13 season
His assist rate is 30.6 percent — his lowest since the 2006-07 season
He received 43 percent assists — his highest since the 2004-05 season
In addition, 50 percent of James' goals from the basket this season have been assisted, equalling his career-high record. In the previous three seasons, James' assist rates on basketball goals were 41%, 26% and 41%, respectively. James' three-point goal assist rate is 58 percent, the highest since the 2015-16 season.
Although the team's record this season still has not met expectations, the 37-year-old James seems to have played another MVP season, and so far, James has averaged 28.6 points, 7.5 rebounds, 6.6 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.1 blocks per game. With the arrival of Westbrook and the increase in age, James has begun to play more no-ball this season, although the two still do not play a satisfactory way of cooperation, but it can be seen that the 37-year-old James has made great changes for the sake of Westbrook.
