At this time, Guo Xing stood up and suggested that Zhu Yuanzhang could use fire attack, and Zhu Yuanzhang felt that it was reasonable to adopt it, and as a result, he successfully broke Chen Youyu and won the final victory of this key battle.
Subsequently, Guo Xing followed Xu Da and others to many places and conquered many cities. At Xu Da's suggestion, Guo Xing was sent to garrison the Tongguan stronghold and repelled many enemy attacks.
In the third year of Hongwu, when Zhu Yuanzhang was a great meritorious warrior, Guo Xing obtained a Gongchang Marquis with his military merits, eating 1,500 stones.
Later, he followed the army to pacify the territory, and followed Xu Da to the town of Beiping, and died in the second year of his return to Beijing, that is, in 1384 AD. In the following years, he was stripped of his title because of his involvement in the Hu Weiyong case.
