According to the statistical analysis of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, automobile production and sales in 2021 showed year-on-year growth, ending the decline for three consecutive years since 2018. Among them, new energy vehicles became the biggest bright spot, with annual sales of more than 3.5 million units, and the market share increased to 13.4%, further illustrating that the new energy vehicle market has shifted from policy-driven to market-driven.

In 2021, with the establishment of China's carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals, low-carbon development has become the "key word" for all walks of life. The double carbon target has widely affected all walks of life, and the automobile industry, as the integrator in the manufacturing industry, has a long industrial chain, a wide range of fields involved, a large industrial scale and a high degree of attention, and it is inseparable from the structural optimization of the energy industry to achieve the dual carbon goal of the automobile industry.

Many industry insiders believe that because hybrid models are better than fuel vehicles in terms of fuel economy, and there is no anxiety about pure electric vehicle charging and waiting, hybrid is one of the important technical means to achieve dual carbon at present. In Li Qingwen's view, 2021 is an important breakthrough year for hybrid technology, and its market share is expected to be further improved in the future. "Looking back 5 years ago, the share of automatic transmissions of independent brands in the market at that time was not high, but in recent years, the quality of automatic transmissions of China's own brands has been rapidly improved, and the market pattern has also undergone tremendous changes."

It is understood that in the past, the field of automobile hybrid has always been Toyota, Honda two dominant, with BYD's DM-i super hybrid technology, Great Wall Motor lemon hybrid DHT, Changan Blue Whale iDD hybrid system and other launches, the joint venture barrier has been broken.

At the same time, the multi-gear development of hybrid vehicle DHT and the multi-gear of pure electric vehicles are in line with the advantages of localization applications, which will promote the continuous vigorous development of the new energy vehicle power drive industry.
