On January 10th, the Cheongsam Show of the Series of Activities of the Chinese National Pavilion Day at the Dubai World Expo was held in Al-Wasl Square, Dubai Expo Park, and Yang Yanwen, a student of Lutai Textile and Garment College of our school, was invited to participate in the exhibition as the champion of the 31st Miss World Model Contest China Finals and the third runner-up of the International Finals.
Accompanied by the melodious tunes of traditional Chinese folk music on the spot, more than 30 beautiful ladies from more than 20 countries wore traditional or modified Chinese qipao and performed a unique charm. The audience was amazed by the model's cheongsam show, which fully reflected their love for traditional Chinese costumes.
This qipao exhibition set up a special award "Miss World Qipao", Yang Yanwen won this honor, she said that it is a great honor to represent China on the world stage, the qipao costume representing one of the traditional Chinese culture to show the audience of all countries, thank the strong motherland and the cultivation of schools and colleges.
It is reported that the Dubai World Expo is the first World Expo held in the Middle East. The Chinese National Pavilion at this World Expo is named "Light of China", and the theme is "Building a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind - Innovation and Opportunity". The Qipao Show is one of the cultural activities of the National Pavilion day in China, aiming to show the beauty of traditional Chinese costumes to tourists from all over the world, and to make the world fall in love with Chinese beauty by showing the colorful qipao.
