In 2020, in the face of the sudden outbreak of new crown pneumonia, many teachers and students of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts threw themselves into this arduous epidemic prevention and control battle through artistic means, responded to the huge impact of this global event with courage and wisdom, and created a number of works of art with height, depth, strength and temperature. According to the relevant person in charge of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, 30 representative works were selected for display in the photo exhibition section of the "Yiqi Anti-epidemic" works of the Dubai World Expo, including "China Refueling", "China Anti-epidemic Atlas", "Retrograde Zhang Dingyu", "Rushing to Huoshenshan Hospital No. 2", etc., which depict the spiritual map of the anti-epidemic, and the original MV "Wish you well" that played a role in soothing the soul and relieving anxiety.
Another blockbuster section, the "Ice Pier" Design Achievements Exhibition Section, includes 20 plush dolls that arrived in Dubai before the Spring Festival, the "Ice Pier" series of creative manuscripts and silkscreen prints, the historical pictures of the "Ice Pier" landing on the moon and Mars, as well as the "Birth of the Ice Pier" broadcast on the spot, the MV "Hand in Hand to a Better Future" that blessed the Beijing Winter Olympics, etc., which more comprehensively showed the cocoon-breaking process of the Guangmei teachers and students team after 10 months of creating the "Ice Pier", "Ice Pier" Walking in the historical footsteps of the friendship ambassador of the Beijing Winter Olympics, the series of art design research and teaching achievements carried out by the Guangmei Winter Olympics Visual Culture design center... The third section of the teaching achievements exhibition mainly presented 20 videos, including the 2021 Guangmei Graduation Season New Media Costume Art Exhibition "Screen World", as well as "The Thirteenth Gate", "Sensory Symbiosis", "Yongqingfang AR Public Art Experiment", "Urban Domestic Waste Classification Exhibition Hall Design", "Falling Dust" and other excellent graduation designs of Guangmei in the past two years.
