On January 14, the China Passenger Vehicle Association recently released the sales ranking data of a single model of new energy vehicles in China in 2021.
Among them, Wuling Hongguang MINI ranked first with a sales volume of 395,400 vehicles in the whole year and was far ahead.
Today, SAIC-GM-Wuling also announced that as of December 31, 2021, the sales volume of the Hongguang MINI model has exceeded 550,000 units since its launch. Sales in 2021 are 426,400 units, and while this figure deviates slightly from the Passenger Car Association's figures, it does not prevent them from becoming the best-selling new energy vehicles in 2021.
Moreover, in December 2021, Hongguang MINI also set a record for the sales of a single new energy model in China with sales of 55,729 units, and won the top sales of new energy vehicles in China for 16 consecutive months.

In May 2021, Lei Jun, the founder of Xiaomi, who announced the construction of the car, also personally went to Wuling to investigate, and the model he looked at at that time was the Hongguang MINI.
The second-highest-selling new energy vehicle model in 2021 is BYD Qin, which sells 187,200 units. IND has 3 models in the top ten, in addition to BYD Qin, there are also BYD Han and BYD Song ranked 5th and 6th, with sales of 117,300 units and 104,200 units, respectively.
Ranked 3rd and 4th are Tesla's two models, the Model Y and Model 3, with sales of 169,800 units and 150,800 units, respectively. Among them, the annual sales volume of model 3 has increased by nearly 10% compared with 2020.
Starting from 7th place, sales dropped to less than 100,000 units, and the Ideal One delivered 90,400 units. In eighth place, Chery Ant sold 76,900 units. In 9th place was Changan Benben, with sales of 76,300 units. The 10th name was GAC Aeon, with sales of 73,800 units.
Among the three new car-making forces in Wei Xiaoli, the Ideal One is the only model that has entered the top ten sales.
Xiaopeng Automobile ranked 12th, with sales of 60,500 units in 2021, and NIO did not even enter the top 15, and their ES6 ranked 17th with sales of 41,400 units. The Nezha V ranked 15th, with sales of 49,600 units in 2021.
Nezha's strong rise last year is in stark contrast to Nio's capacity fluctuations last year.
In 2022, Huawei AITO Q&I M5, Xiaopeng G9, WEILAI ET7, ET5, Ideal X01, Nezha S and other models will be listed one after another, coupled with the decline of new energy vehicle subsidies, the competition in China's new energy vehicle market will become more and more fierce, and it is foreseeable that the ranking and competition pattern between various enterprises may change dramatically.
According to data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, China's total sales of new energy passenger cars in 2021 will be nearly 3 million units, accounting for 14.8% of the total sales of passenger cars in 2015.
By 2025, new energy vehicles will account for 20% of new car sales, and China's new energy vehicle market still has a lot of room for development.
