Quehua Ya Collection: The First Shandong Writers Calligraphy and Painting Ink Nomination Exhibition was launched in Jinan

On January 16, 2022, sponsored by the Shandong Provincial Prose Literature Association and the Jinan Licheng District Literary and Art Circles Federation, and undertaken by the Writers' Calligraphy and Painting Institute of the Shandong Essay Literature and Painting Society and the Licheng District New Era Civilization Practice Literary and Art Volunteer Service Center, the First Shandong Writers Calligraphy and Painting Ink Nomination Exhibition was launched at the Licheng District New Era Civilization Practice Literary and Art Volunteer Service Center, exhibiting more than 40 calligraphy and painting works by 22 members of the Shandong Chinese Writers Association. The unveiling ceremony of the Writers' Calligraphy and Painting Institute of the Shandong Provincial Prose Literature Association and the launch ceremony of the "Quehua Ya Collection" were held at the same time, marking the establishment of the first provincial-level writers' calligraphy and painting institute in Shandong Province.

The collection is presided over by Zhang Qipeng, advisor of the Shandong Provincial Essay Literature Association, Zhao Hexiang, a 90-year-old famous literary critic and writer, Li Bingfeng, adviser of the Shandong Essay Literature Society, Wang Haifeng, executive vice president and secretary general of the Shandong Essay Literature Society, Li Musheng, Li Dengjian, Zhou Penghua, and Jiao Hongjun, vice presidents of the Shandong Essay Literature Society, Sun Jiquan, president of the Jining Essay Literature Association, Zhao Jingwei, secretary of the party group and chairman of the Jinan Licheng District Literary and Art Circles Federation, and Wang Xueyong, director of the Laiwu Cultural Exchange Center of Chuiyang Academy. Zhang Kuntang, consultant of Licheng District Writers Association, and other guests and provincial and municipal writers and literature lovers attended the event.

Wang Haifeng gave a briefing on the preparations for the Shandong Provincial Prose Literature Association Writers' Calligraphy and Painting Institute and the exhibition, and he said that the Shandong Provincial Prose Literature Association Writers' Calligraphy and Painting Institute was jointly initiated by writers and members who love the art of calligraphy and painting inside and outside the association. Zhang Wei, a well-known writer and vice chairman of the China Writers Association, inscribes the name of the institute, and will regularly hold exhibitions, PEN clubs and collection activities, and set up a platform for the publication and dissemination of works in relevant media. The Academy of Calligraphy and Painting is located in the New Era Civilization Practice Literary and Art Volunteer Service Center in Licheng District, giving full play to the advantages of being in the Zhangma Xinfu community, sending the excellent literary works and the elegant art of writers to the doorstep of the community masses, opening up the last meter of literary and artistic volunteer service to connect with the masses, thus building a grass-roots platform for literary and artistic volunteer service of the Shandong Provincial Prose Literature Society.

On behalf of the Licheng District Literary Association, Zhao Jingwei congratulated the holding of the event, and introduced the development of the Activities of the Licheng Literary Association, expressing his willingness to provide support and convenience for the settlement of the Writers' Calligraphy and Painting Institute of the Shandong Provincial Prose Literature Association, and the District Literary and Art Association will jointly hold a series of activities to benefit the people with the Calligraphy and Painting Institute to create conditions for the dissemination, display and exchange of outstanding literary and artistic works.

The first Invitation Exhibition of Calligraphy and Painting Ink Nomination of Shandong Writers invited 19 members of the Shandong Chinese Writers Association, including Li Dengjian, Zhang Yi, Zhao Tongbin, Li Bingfeng, Wang Guilin, Zhao Xuesong, Zhou Penghua, Zhao Linyun, Pan Di, Cui Junming, Sun Jiquan, Geng Li, Zhang Qipeng, Wang Fugang, Ah Zhan, Zong Lihua, Wang Zhan, Qiao Hongtao, Ma Weiwei, etc., to participate in the exhibition, and Wang Shuli, Miao Changshui, Wang Zhaosheng and other 3 famous writers were exhibited. This is the first time that Shandong has organized a calligraphy and painting exhibition composed of members of the Chinese Writers Association, showing the writers' ability to dock traditions, enhance their cultivation and their elegance as literati in addition to literary creation, and showing the new realm of Qilu literati art.

Zhao Hexiang and Li Musheng inaugurated the Calligraphy and Painting Institute. Subsequently, the participating writers, scholars, and cultural enthusiasts had in-depth exchanges on the inheritance of art, the cultivation of writers, the characteristics of literati calligraphy and painting, aesthetics, tastes, and the popularization and dissemination of writers' calligraphy and painting. It is believed that under the mountain of Licheng Huabu, which is rich in profound cultural heritage and prominent historical and cultural characteristics, such a cultural exchange and display platform should be built in the modern resident community and such a unique cultural collection should be held, which reflects the responsibility of the participating artists and artists to go deep into life and take root in the people.
