On the morning of January 16, the 2021 "Chinese Calligraphy Annual Exhibition" National Calligraphy and Cursive Works Exhibition, supported by the Chinese Calligraphers Association, sponsored by China Calligraphy Publishing and Media Co., Ltd. and Hubei Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles, undertaken by Hubei Calligraphers Association and Calligraphy Publishing House Co., Ltd., and co-organized by China Calligraphy Newspaper and China Calligraphy Magazine, was held in Hubei Provincial Library.

Meng Qingxing said in his speech that the 2021 "Chinese Calligraphy Annual Exhibition" National Calligraphy and Cursive Works Exhibition is not only a calligraphy exhibition with great influence in the national calligraphy circle, but also a grand event of Hubei calligraphy in the new era. The calligraphy and cursive works exhibited in this exhibition are diverse in form, which are rooted in tradition and fully demonstrate the aesthetic pursuit and basic style of the times. The successful holding of this exhibition will not only improve the level of cursive writing in Hubei, but also play a positive role in promoting the in-depth and extensive exchange of calligraphy between Hubei and other provinces and cities across the country.
