According to the details of the report, BMW will introduce more niche models this year, including the high-performance version of the 2 Series coupe M240i, the X3/X4 high-performance version X3/X4 M40i, and the high-performance version of the iX M60. Among them, the BMW X3/X4 M40 will be introduced in the form of imports to compete with the Audi SQ5, Mercedes-Benz GLC 43 and other models in the market.

In terms of appearance, BMW X3/X4 M40i will add M Sport kits to the ordinary version of X3, and its grille, hubs, mirrors and other details are blackened to make the shape more sporty. The new car will also add snow white, carbon black, gem blue, mysterious gray, quantum blue, Brooklyn gray, rich red (X4 exclusive) paint, in addition to supporting personalized customization.
The new car on the interior comes standard with Vernasca leather, available in cognac and black, as well as a personalized Merino extension leather (cloud brocade red/black) for an optional price of 15,000. And the new car is also equipped with carbon fiber trim standard on the interior, which is more combative than the current model. In terms of power, BMW X3/X4 M40i will be equipped with A B58 3.0T in-line six-cylinder engine, with a maximum power and peak torque of 280kW and 500N·m respectively, matching an 8-speed automatic transmission and an xDrive four-wheel drive system, which has a significant increase in power compared with the current X3.
At present, the guidance price range of BMW X3 is 392,800-47.98 million yuan, while the starting price of X3M is 839,900 yuan. This means that there is a market gap of 300,000 in the range of 500,000-800,000. Mercedes-Benz and Audi have successively launched the GLC 43 AMG and SQ5 in this part of the market, so for many BMW, this part of the market also has a certain potential to be tapped.
