The first store in Fudi Shunyi District settled in COFCO Xiangyun Town Store, with an area of about 10,000 square meters, which is twice the area of the first store. On the first day of opening, the store welcomed many customers, and the reporter randomly interviewed and found that most of the people who came to shop were residents of Shunyi District.

"I used to go to Sam nearby, but when I heard that a new club had opened here, I came to see it." Ms. Deng, a customer, said that fudi has a lot of products suitable for Chinese, such as noodle cooked food, live fish and seafood, Chinese light meals, etc., and the packaging of many goods is relatively smaller than Sam's, suitable for small families to buy.

In May 2021, Fudi, Beijing's first warehouse-based club specializing in fresh food, was unveiled in the East Fourth Ring Road. The store is opened by local companies in Beijing, accounting for 50% of fresh products, and also has a fresh seafood sales area. Fresh fish from the pure waters of Sansha in the Paracel Islands is one of the specialty products in the store. According to the fudi project leader, since its opening in May 2021, the membership of fudi single store has reached 60,000.

The reporter noted that this store is 5 kilometers away from Sam's Club, which means that Beijing's local clubs and foreign-funded clubs have ushered in a close confrontation. Through the comparison of prices, it was found that the prices of some fresh products in the two stores were not bad. The Sam's Club APP shows that the intelligence JJJ-class cherries are 5 kilograms a box, priced at 398 yuan, equivalent to 39.8 yuan a pound. Fudi's current sale of intelligence JJJ grade cherries is 2.5 kg per box, priced at 199 yuan, which is also 39.8 yuan per pound.

In terms of selection, fudi Xiangyun Town store will be more adapted to the eating habits of Chinese, and the product structure is also different from Sam's. Taking into account the consumption habits of more customers, fudi member stores have optimized the packaging specifications, and many products use small packaging to reduce waste. The relevant person in charge of fudi said that the future will accelerate the layout of the Beijing market, this year's stores in Beijing will open to 3 to 5, next year's stores in Beijing will reach more than 10, and the second half of next year will go to the national market.
