It turned out that his name was Chu Daming, and he was the first fierce general under Chen Geng. Just like Li Yunlong in "Bright Sword", he is always invincible on the battlefield and makes the enemy feel frightened. He was twice awarded the title of "Hero of The Order" by the organization, and when he died in 1947, 6,000 people even competed to carry his coffin.
When he first went to the battlefield, he showed his combat talent
Chu Daming, born in 1916 in a poor mountain village in Shangcheng County, Xinyang City, Henan Province, grew up in a poor family and often did not have enough to eat. Later, when he was 11 years old, in order to make ends meet, he apprenticed to a village man and began to practice medicine everywhere.
On the way to practice medicine, Chu Daming deeply felt the harm of feudal old ideas, and looking at those persecuted ordinary people, his heart inexplicably lit a red flame. Later, by an unexpected chance, Chu Daming became acquainted with Dong Biwu and Chen Xinglang. Under their influence, Chu Daming came into contact with advanced revolutionary ideas and joined the Red Guard Corps of the Peasant Association in accordance with the current situation.
In 1932, Chu Daming officially joined the Red Army, but the organization did not initially assign him to the front line, but assigned him to the army hospital as a caretaker. But how could the young and vigorous Chu Daming be willing to be only a caretaker? It didn't take long for him to find the chief and clamor for a battle on the front lines.
Perhaps it was his spirit of not being ordinary that made Xu Shiyou, the commander of the 34th Regiment of the Red 12th Division at that time, take a fancy to him and transfer him to his side as a guard.

At the beginning of 1933, at the age of 17, Chu Daming was already an experienced soldier in the army, and because of his outstanding performance, he officially joined the Communist Party of China in this year.
After joining the party, Chu Daming gave full play to his talent in combat, and was successively promoted from squad leader to platoon leader, company commander, and so on. After the failure of the Fifth Anti-Encirclement and Suppression Campaign of the Red Army, Chu Daming also participated in the 25,000-mile Long March with his troops.
A brave and resourceful "tiger general"
In 1937, the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression broke out in full swing, and at that time, Chu Daming followed the troops to the south to fight in the northern war, and constantly opened up anti-Japanese base areas behind enemy lines. This regiment was one of the least favored regiments at the time, because the fighters were composed of the landlord's family nursing home and the Kuomintang army. After the death of the former battalion commander, the morale of the entire regiment was low, and the soldiers complained bitterly, and this situation continued until Chu Daming took office.
After Chu Daming became the battalion commander, he quickly regained his strength, knowing that the weapons and equipment of our army were far from those of the Japanese army, and Chu Daming invented a set of his own combat methods, that is, fighting bayonets with devils. Since the hard armor is not as good as them, it is better to defeat them on the other side.
In this way, the soldiers of the 2nd Battalion began bayonet training day and night, "but it is certainly not enough to let the soldiers charge into the battle, as a cadre, you should be the first soldier, no matter what you encounter, you are rushing to the front, setting an example for the soldiers", which is a sentence he often teaches his subordinates. And Chu Daming himself really did this.
In a battle in 1939, Chu Daming led his fighters into the Japanese military camp and ran into two devils with bayonets. At that time, those few recruits were frightened and stunned at the same place, Chu Daming saw the situation, said that it was too late and fast, drew his bayonet and fought with the devil.
In the course of the fight, both of Chu Daming's front teeth were knocked out, and the warriors looked at such a heroic battalion commander, completely infected by his momentum, and instantly lost the feeling of fear, and immediately picked up the bayonet and joined the battle. After this battle, they won a great victory, and the organization personally set two gold teeth for Chu Daming, and he was also famous for this.
In fact, such a battle was fought more than once, and for a long time afterwards, Chu Daming used his bayonet to not know how many enemies he had killed, so he was promoted to deputy commander of the 20th Regiment and was also known as the "Tiger General".
But Chu Daming was not the kind of soldier who had courage and strategy.
When fighting, he will change the combat strategy at any time according to the terrain and timing, so he also invented a special way of fighting for street battles, "through the wall to punch holes". This method is quite good, always inadvertently killing the enemy, disturbing their interior, and laying the foundation for victory in battle.

He and his wife Zhou Yu knew each other in a field hospital, when Chu Daming was shot in the abdomen and was sent to the hospital for rescue. During the period of hospitalization, a small nurse named Zhou Yu took care of him.
