"A Dollar a Day" is a series of photographs that reflect the lives of millions of people in conditions of extreme poverty and hunger. The book was written in collaboration with Thomas A. Nazario, founder of Forgotten International, and Pulitzer Prize winner Renée C. Byer.
In "A Visit to Mother Jones," Nazario explains the motivation for publishing the book: "I'm tired of dealing with people on the streets around the world—people who have been forgotten by their families, villages, or whatever groups they belong to. ”
The "One Dollar a Day" series is more than just a snapshot. They are part of an ongoing story. Nazario and Byer carefully selected fragments of the lives of the target characters, bringing the reader closer to them.
