January is not over, Dongfeng Motor has taken the lead in announcing the month-end sales results of its Dongfeng Fengshen and DPCA automobiles.

As of January 28, 2022, Dongfeng Fengshen achieved terminal retail sales of 19,109 vehicles, an increase of 97% year-on-year, setting a record for single-month sales.

In terms of different models, the monthly sales of the Yixuan family under Dongfeng Fengshen remained above 10,000 vehicles, which was an important boost to the growth of brand sales. The monthly sales of the new SUV model AX7 Mach version also exceeded 5,000 units, while the new energy model E70 also sold more than 3,000 units in the month, and the market demand is still rising further.

Dongfeng Fengshen achieved a sales target of 120,000 vehicles in 2021, and in 2022, Zhu Yanfeng, chairman of the board of directors and secretary of the party committee of Dongfeng Company, set an annual sales target of 200,000 vehicles, with a growth rate of nearly 65%. However, judging from the sales performance in January, it is still possible to achieve the full-year target.

In March, Dongfeng Fenshen's new medium-sized SUV Haoji will soon be unveiled and is expected to be officially released in the second half of 2022. The new car is based on the dongfeng DSMA advanced modular architecture, and it is also the first new car under the architecture, equipped with a Mach-powered MHD hybrid engine, which is believed to become a new sales growth point for Dongfeng Fengshen after listing.

As of January 28, 2022, DPCA has sold more than 13,000 vehicles, an increase of more than 85% year-on-year. This is also the fifth consecutive month since the monthly sales of 10,000 vehicles in September 2021, DPCA has achieved monthly sales of more than 10,000 vehicles.

However, from the perspective of annual sales targets, Dongfeng Motor did not announce the specific sales targets of Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile in 2022. In 2021, the annual sales of DPCA exceeded 100,000 units, with the acceleration of the pace of product launch, the sales performance of DPCA is also picking up, according to the current sales performance, beyond the sales performance of 2021 should be more likely.
