Sony AI released a trailer announcing a "groundbreaking" AI collaboration with Polyphony Digital, the developer of the GT Racing series, on Feb. 9.
Late last year, Sony AI and Polyphony jointly published an article on the possibility of training AI to drive a car in GT Racing based on visual cues and achieve better results than human drivers.
Considering the logo of the GT Racing series, the slogan of "Race Together", and the graphics showing the car's engine, steering wheel and driver in the trailer, perhaps Sony AI and Polyphony will show the progress of this collaborative project in game racing AI.
GT Racing 7 will be released on March 4, 2022 on the PS5 / PS4 platform. At present, we do not know whether this new SET of AI will be applied to this game.
