Among them, Haidian District is in the north district of Zhongguancun Science City, planning a 100 square kilometer autonomous driving innovation demonstration area, forming a structure of one district (automatic innovation demonstration area) and one port (automatic driving innovation port).
In order to give full play to the traction and driving role of leading enterprises such as Baidu, support enterprises to carry out unmanned testing, and combine the actual needs of enterprise driverless business development, at present, 52 215.3 km test roads have been opened in Haidian District of Beijing, and 5 road sections (35.1 km in both directions) such as Wenyang Road and Beiqing Road are selected as unmanned test sections to carry out unmanned test programs. As of February 8 this year, various types of autonomous vehicles have been tested and run in the demonstration area for 546 days, with a total of more than 38,900 hours and more than 4,880 vehicles, with a total of more than 6,910 testers.
