According to the data, the retail sales of passenger cars of major manufacturers in January 2022 fell by 4% year-on-year, and the wholesale sales of passenger cars increased by 2% year-on-year, and the market performance was stable.

According to the data, in the first week of January (1-9), the average daily retail sales of passenger cars of major manufacturers were 57,835 units, an increase of 6% year-on-year; in the second week (10-16 days), the average daily retail sales of major manufacturers were 62,867 units, down 2% year-on-year; in the third week (17-23 days), the average daily retail sales of major manufacturers increased to 85,741 units, up 28% year-on-year; and the average daily retail sales of 66,180 units in the fourth week (24-31 days), down 32% year-on-year.

In January 2022, major manufacturers sold an average of 67,426 units per day, down 4% year-on-year and 1% from December. This year, due to the advance of the Spring Festival to February 1, the last week of January has entered the Spring Festival atmosphere, which has a greater impact on the overall sales of automobiles, resulting in a decline in January sales compared with the same period last year.

In terms of wholesale sales of passenger cars, the average daily wholesale sales of passenger cars of major manufacturers in January were 66,829 units, a slight increase of 2% year-on-year. Wholesale sales fell 12% compared to December.
