Revolutionary journey

In 1930, Zhang Jingwu joined the Communist Party of China, and because of his knowledge of military theory, he was sent to the central revolutionary base area to play a military specialty in the Workers' and Peasants' Red Army. During this period, Zhang Jingwu actively worked, conscientiously carried out the tasks arranged by the organization, and made contributions to the land reform.

During the Long March, Zhang Jingwu served as chief of staff of the Second Field Column, and served as chief of staff of the Shandong, Shaanxi, Gansu, and Ningxia armies during the War of Resistance Against Japan. During the war years, artillery fire was everywhere, and Zhang Jingwu rushed to the front line of the battlefield like all soldiers. In the midst of the artillery fire, Zhang Jingwu had the courage to fight, did not fear sacrifice, escaped from the rain of bullets and bullets countless times, and gradually grew into a predatory soldier. Later, in the Liberation War, Zhang Jingwu was transferred to the Northwest Military Region, and this transfer also became an opportunity for his future work.

An indissoluble relationship with Tibet

After the founding of New China, most of the country was liberated, but Tibet has not been peaceful. The Party Central Committee hoped that Tibet could be peacefully liberated, so it sent a peace talks working group to deal with it. Chairman Mao Zedong judged the situation and believed that Zhang Jingwu was suitable for this task in all aspects, so he appointed him a negotiator of the central government.

Faced with such a difficult task, Zhang Jingwu felt the pressure. At that time, not only did the nobility in Tibet disobey the administration, but there were also separatist forces outside Tibet who were eyeing the tiger. However, Zhang Jingwu was not discouraged, and he rose to the challenge and, after thorough investigation and study, conducted consultations with the Tibetan authorities for 20 days. During this time, Zhang Jingwu gave full play to his wisdom and contacted many people. Convey the central policy to all walks of life in Tibet, unite local patriots, disintegrate separatists, and reach an agreement on the peaceful liberation of Tibet after continuous efforts.

Later, Zhang Jingwu has been working in Tibet and is busy with the construction of various undertakings. He led the Tibetan people to overthrow serfdom, practice democracy, develop agriculture, establish schools, and break out of a new world. In 1955, Zhang Jingwu was awarded the rank of lieutenant general, and then transferred back to the Central Committee to work in the United Front Work Department. Zhang Jingwu, who should have had a bright future and could continue to do his best for the country, suffered an unexpected blow.

In the special decade, the situation was turbulent, and Zhang Jingwu was maliciously slandered as a rebel. He was 60 years old and still imprisoned and persecuted. During this time, some false accusations and sewage were attacked on him. In order to resist expressing his determination, the old man even chose to go on a hunger strike to Mingzhi. Although Zhang Jingwu was determined and would never give in, the years of torture had made the old man unbearable. In the end, he did not survive the catastrophe and died of illness at the age of 65.

Zhang Jingwu was rehabilitated in 1979. The country and the people will not forget his contribution to the revolution, and history will give him the right judgment. This staunch fighter has been on the front line of the war ever since he joined the party. The rain of bullets and bullets tempered his steely will and guided him to the depths of the revolution. Zhang Jingwu withstood the pressure at a critical moment, accepted the dispatch, and successfully resolved the issue of tibet liberation. Later, despite suffering from impermanence, Zhang Jingwu perfectly interpreted a communist's adherence to the truth. Hats off to him!
