Today is the closing day of the Beijing Winter Olympics, and the public's enthusiasm for ice and snow sports has not faded. Since its launch, the Sports Museum's "Ice and Snow Love, Tianjin And Wei Dream - New China Tianjin Winter Sports and Winter Olympics Cultural Collection Exhibition" has been warmly welcomed by the audience. In the program, the Sports Museum focused on introducing the exhibition to the audience. Tianjin is very close to the development of winter sports, and is an important birthplace of winter sports in China and the birthplace of ice hockey in the mainland. On August 9, 1881, in the curriculum of the Beiyang Marine Teachers' Academy, skating was introduced into the classroom as a formal subject. In 1905, China's first ice hockey club was born in Tianjin. In 1925, Nankai University in Tianjin, with Chinese Olympic pioneer Zhang Boling as president, took the lead in establishing the "White Bear" ice hockey team in 1925. It can be said that Tianjin is full of ice culture. The exhibition displays the memorabilia of China's previous Winter Olympics, and shows the development of winter sports in Tianjin, China, through the medals of the first place in the National Ice Sports Conference, the old photos of the ice hockey competition of the 1956 National Ice Games, the medals of the 1956 Tianjin Ice Sports Conference, and the medals of the First Winter Games. The torches, mascots, tickets, badges, commemorative porcelain, silk scarves, posters, etc. of the Winter Olympics are also a highlight of this exhibition, and these exhibits together constitute the cultural symbols of the Winter Olympics, which not only convey the olympic spirit and concept, but also reflect the cultural characteristics of the host country.

The Beijing Winter Olympics not only ignited people's enthusiasm for ice and snow sports, but also led more and more people to understand the history of sports and the history of the Olympic Games. The Sports Museum will continue to carry forward the ice and snow culture and the Winter Olympic culture through exhibitions and various social education activities, carry forward the Olympic spirit, and add cultural impetus and spiritual strength to the comprehensive development of ice and snow sports.
