At this Shanghai Fashion Week, BAN XIAOXUE SS2022 took the theme of "Wishing People Last", which was perfectly handed over.
The words "I hope people will be long" come from Su Dongpo's "Water Tune Song Head: When is the Bright Moon". The theme of this time is a reflection on the concept of eternity, may man's long-term proposition be true or false?
What is long-lasting, whether it exists long-term, and what kind of psychology is behind this good wish? How should we face loss, face parting, face death, and find our own destination and the original meaning of life.
The design of BAN XIAOXUE SS2022 contains the ability to look down on the changes of ancient and modern times, lament the flow of the universe, and reveal the concept of intelligent human life. This time, the designer based the ultimate craft on the basis of a kind of destruction, fusing two extreme opposite temperaments, and expressing beauty in the furthest way from beauty, which may also be the closest distance to our eternity.
The continuity here is more reflected in the use of the simplest and most ordinary materials to express, transforming the original short-lived and disposable qualities into a long-term.
The show was designed by artist Wang Ziyue with the concept of theater, using the expression of the wasteland, blending red clay with geometric installations to introduce an illusory space.
Runway music is minimalist music composed by musician Cupy, who always has a way to take people into the world of their dreams. This time, the crystal clear tone is used to simulate the scene where light sources are everywhere, shadows are scattered everywhere, and wind and sand are flying.
