Chengdu, March 19 (Xinhua) -- The 31st Summer Universiade in Chengdu has entered a 100-day sprint. As a participant in the construction of the main stadium of the 2022 Chengdu Universiade, the builders of Dong'an Lake Sports Park, the installation company of China Construction Second Bureau, transformed into a baosai team, with the belief of "international standards, perfect baosai", to welcome young people from all over the world to gather in Rongcheng.
It is understood that the Chengdu Universiade is the first time that western Chinese cities have embraced the World Comprehensive Games, and it is also the third time that China has hosted the Summer Universiade after the Beijing Universiade and the Shenzhen Universiade. The Chengdu Universiade will be held from June 26 to July 7, when Dong'an Lake Sports Park will undertake the opening ceremony of the Universiade and important sports such as gymnastics and swimming.
Dong'an Lake Sports Park is located next to Checheng Avenue, Longquanyi District, Chengdu, with a total construction area of about 320,000 square meters. The project includes "one stadium and one hotel" - 40,000-seat comprehensive sports field, 18,000-seat multi-functional gymnasium, 5,000-seat swimming and diving hall and comprehensive small stadium, and a five-star reception hotel. The installation company of China Construction Second Bureau participated in the construction of the steel structure and metal roofing project of the stadium, and the mechanical and electrical installation, steel structure and metal roofing project of the three venues, which lasted for one year to cast the boutique project, helping Chengdu to build a world famous event city.

In order to ensure the perfect match of the Universiade, the installation company of the Second Bureau of China Construction has set up a leading group for the operation of the Universiade, and 67 backbone employees who have participated in the construction of the project have been selected to form a team to control the air conditioning, ventilation, fire protection, water supply and drainage, steel structure, waterproof system and other aspects of Dong'an Lake Sports Park during the Universiade. In addition, the Baosai team also further strengthened the key links of the engineering project, the emergency reserves of the professional teams in important parts and the actual combat drills to ensure that all the universiade projects were perfectly presented with high quality and high standards.
Chen Huixing is the project manager of the mechanical and electrical installation project of Dong'an Lake Sports Park, a small stadium and a swimming pool in the southwest branch of China Construction Second Bureau Installation Company, and has an in-depth understanding of how to operate the control system of each venue normally.
"This is the debut of the first world-class event in Dong'an Lake Sports Park, and it is also a big test of the quality of our projects", Chen Huixing said, in March 2021, the project department has prepared to set up an event support team of more than 100 people to ensure the smooth progress of the 2021 National Gymnastics Championships and Tokyo Olympic Games Selection Tournament and the 14th National Games Gymnastics Qualification Tournament. "We have a certain amount of experience in guaranteeing the Games, but we need to pay more efforts to ensure the Winter Olympics and the Universiade."
