World Book Day | 94 years, a village library changed and did not change

"It's an old library

But being ancient doesn't mean it's backward

It is located on the southwestern border

But it's always been at the center of culture."

——The current director of Heshun Library, Tsutomu

It is located in Tengchong City, Yunnan Province and Shun Ancient Town

The current curator, Tsutomu

Three generations of the family have worked in the library

In his eyes

Heshun Library is a magical place

In a frontier town of less than 8,000 people

Nearly 3,000 people applied for library cards

The rural customs of cultivating and reading heirlooms are passed down from generation to generation here

Not long since

The library is sourcing books from as far away as Shanghai

Detour burma with horse gangs to Hoa Shun

But the thirsty Heshun librarians never felt far away

94 years passed

There are many welcome changes in the Heshun Library

From handwritten book catalog search cards to modern library search systems

From borrowing only paper books to developing electronic reading rooms

Today's Heshun Library

WeChat public accounts, mini programs, and library Apps are readily available

It also plays a social role in tourism, cultural and cultural services

94 years passed

The Heshun Library also has many unchanging insistences

Free open, use-oriented concept of the museum

Reader-centric, reader-source management requirements

There is also the persistent belief in books by generations of Hoshun librarians

In 1994, the Heshun Library was changing and not changing

The smell of books is fascinating

As Professor Deng Zhonghan described in "Books Everywhere"

"It has a low eaves, but it has attracted many celebrities who stand tall and wear history books

It's not a big house, but the doors and windows are open, and the breeze convection is very clean

It inculcates the fragrance of the front and back of the house, the neighborhood is harmonious everywhere."
