Marvels Guardians of the Galaxy hides a lot of small details and tons of Easter eggs, most of which you might not encounter in the game. Still, almost everyone who has played the game has noticed the refrigerator, or the door that never closes.

Every time a new chapter in Guardians of the Galaxy begins, when you get back on the ship, you'll find the refrigerator door open again. If you walk up to the refrigerator, you can perform a movement and have Star-Lord close the refrigerator door to make sure the contents stay fresh. Recently, the game's official Twitter account revealed that people who have played the game have performed this action a total of 18.6 million times.
"18.6 million (failed) attempts to shut down the refrigerator." Screenshots in tweets are shown. The developers add that they admire this persistence because no matter how many times you turn off the refrigerator, every time you get back on the ship, the door reopens.
Although closing the refrigerator door will not affect the progress of other content in the game or story. But when asked why they bothered to design this, the developers replied: "So we can see how successful it has been in annoying everyone." ”
Although the refrigerator was only used to deliberately harass players, Jon McLaren, who voiced Star-Lord in the game, did give it a little extra meaning when he spoke to TheGamer earlier this month. Jon McLaren revealed that Star-Lord always opens the refrigerator door, and he says that when you go to Star-Lord's childhood home in the game, you will notice that the refrigerator door in Star-Lord's bedroom is opened.
