The silver gull is a large (64 cm) light gray gull, a common summer migratory bird in Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia, wintering along the coast of Hebei and south of the Yangtze River, and occasionally found in Taiwan. The legs of the silver gull are pale pink, the upper body is light gray, the shape is thick, the chest is deep, the mouth is thick, the forehead is long and slow, the top of the head is flat, and the appearance looks fierce. However, the silver gull is of great benefit to agricultural production, and it eats rats such as weasels, chicks, voles and so on. According to records, there are 1,200 silver gulls living in one area, and 250,000 rats were exterminated in 3 months.
