"Why can't the dog food I bought in supermarkets abroad be brought back to China?" In the face of the passengers' confusion, the customs officer gave an explanation: these pet dog food contain meat ingredients and are animal-derived feed. According to the relevant laws and regulations of China, feed of animal origin needs to be approved by the customs and issued a quarantine certificate from the official agency of the exporting country or region before it can be entered. Feed of animal origin that does not meet the above conditions is prohibited from being carried or mailed into the country.
