How to prevent common diseases of eye-spotted turtles
In the process of raising turtles, if the disease is found to be prevented and controlled in time, although the eye-spotted water turtle has strong vitality and no major diseases, but sometimes small diseases are occasionally seen, and some diseases are contagious, so it is usually necessary to pay attention to observation and examination. Once abnormalities are found, it is necessary to prescribe the right medicine in time to avoid economic losses.
(1) Trauma inflammation. If the skin is scratched due to roughness of the pool, or the bacterial infection is inflamed due to scratching each other during transportation, the wound can be disinfected with hydrogen peroxide, applied with red or purple potion, or smeared with anti-inflammatory drugs, and then left the water for a few days to heal. If the inflammation is not found in time, tetracycline and spiramycin can be used to feed and treat, and the amount of each use is: 500 grams of turtle is 12 of the human one-time dosage, once a day, for 3 days.
(2) Gastroenteritis. Summer feeding unclean or spoiled feed is easy to cause enteritis, some turtles vomiting, loose stool, water pollution, turtles in the pool are hungry, the amount of food significantly reduced, if not treated in time, can cause the sick turtle dehydration death. Chloramphenicol or gentamicin can be injected, 0.2 grams per 500 grams of turtles, once a day, and the pond water can be disinfected and the sick turtles can be isolated.
(3) Dyspepsia. If excessive feed or digestible food is fed for a long time, it will cause digestion obstruction after the turtle is gluttonous, and even cause some turtles to refuse to eat. Therefore, the feed should not be single, but diversified. If indigestion is found, first of all, it is necessary to switch to fresh, fragrant feed to guide appetite.
