During the Zazhudong massacre, Liu Debin hid under the bed and pretended to die, and when he was about to fool through, the spies came in again

On April 16, 1948, Ran Yizhi, deputy secretary of the Chongqing Municipal Work Committee, was captured by Kuomintang agents. Under the coercion and lure of the enemy, Ran Yizhi immediately defected, causing a devastating blow to the underground party organization in the Chongqing area.

Soon after, Liu Debin and others were also arrested and imprisoned for Ran Yizhi's rebellion. Subsequently, Kuomintang agents tortured Liu Debin in a vain attempt to catch a few more big fish from his mouth.

Faced with the flowing instruments of torture, Liu Debin did not explain anything about the party organization, but always insisted that he was a recent graduate who came to Chongqing to find a job, and did not know anything else. Seeing that the spies could not do anything on trial, they had to give up, and Liu Debin, who was tortured to death, was put in the Zhazidong prison.

Under the mutual care of his fellow inmates, Liu Debin gradually recovered. But after all, this is a prison, life is very difficult, in addition to torture, the secret service also only gives them food, rotten vegetable leaves, and sewage every day, in an attempt to break through their psychological defense through physical torture.

But even so, Liu Debin and others always believed that the light that belonged to them would come, however, the people's expectations had not yet been realized, and they waited for the brutal slaughter of the enemy.

As early as before the founding of New China, Chiang Kai-shek knew that the general trend was over, and immediately revealed his true face, and instructed Mao Renfeng to begin a concentrated massacre of patriots and underground party members imprisoned in various places.

On the evening of November 27, before the liberation of Chongqing, Kuomintang agents closed the prison doors and took up submachine guns to massacre the last group of underground party members detained there.

During the Zazhudong massacre, Liu Debin hid under the bed and pretended to die, and when he was about to fool through, the spies came in again

Liu Debin and his comrades prepared for bed as usual, only listening to the sound of the siren outside the prison, followed by a sound of the door opening, and saw a team of Kuomintang agents with guns and live ammunition break into the prison, pick up their guns and start shooting.

Many comrades died before they could react, and Liu Debin instinctively pressed his body against the wall, and then took advantage of the gap between strafing shots to roll out of bed and hide under the bed.

However, the dense bullets still injured Liu Debin's right arm, and suddenly, Liu Debin's clothes were stained red with blood, and he endured severe pain and tried his best to move to the innermost part of the bed.

Fortunately, Liu Debin dodged this strafing under his bed, and also saw the whole process of the crazy massacre of Kuomintang agents: comrades were unarmed and could only be slaughtered, and comrades who did not react at first were killed, and later realized that it was the comrades who were slaughtered simply united, shouting "Long live the Communist Party" while rushing to the guns...

I don't know how long it took, the gunfire stopped, the Kuomintang agents also left, Liu Debin dared to move his body a little, poked his head out from under the bed to look around: some comrades had been beaten into a sieve, some were still moaning in pain, Liu Debin did not dare to make a sound, trying his best to control his emotions.

At this moment, Liu Debin heard another sound of footsteps. It turned out that the insidious and cunning Kuomintang agents were afraid of omissions, and turned back to replenish the gun.

When Liu Debin heard the sound, he quickly hid under the bed, and then smeared blood on his face and clothes, looking as if he was dead from a distance. As the footsteps of the special agent got closer and closer, Liu Debin did not dare to gasp loudly, and his heart jumped to his throat...

Perhaps because Liu Debin's cell was the last to be replaced, the agent had long been numb and thought that there could be no living mouth; Or maybe he was afraid that the PLA would immediately fight, and he panicked and wanted to flee quickly, in short, he did not replenish the gun for Liu Debin.

Liu Debin luckily picked up a life, and when he heard the footsteps of the special agent gradually moving away, Liu Debin dared to open his eyes, but he was worried that the special agent would come back again, so he still did not dare to act rashly, just waited quietly.

In the early hours of the morning, Liu Debin climbed out from under his bed and carefully crawled along the prison floor, making sure that there were no Kuomintang agents in each cell before daring to stand up and intend to escape the cave.

At this time, in the dregs cave, except for Liu Debin, Yang Peiji, Lin Tao (Zhong Lin), Zhou Renji and other comrades who survived, all other comrades were brutally killed by the enemy. In the end, several people traveled together and took advantage of the night to escape from the dregs cave.

Subsequently, several people did not dare to stop for a moment, and after dawn came to the Jialing River, and then went to Chongqing University to find Comrade Lei Zhen's relatives, where they hid for two days, and Chongqing was finally liberated.

In December, Liu Debin and others asked someone to contact underground party comrades in Chongqing and returned to the "liaison office for comrades who escaped from danger." Here, they met their former comrade-in-arms Luo Guangbin.

Luo Guangbin was also arrested for Ran Yizhi's betrayal, and was initially imprisoned in a dregs cave, but because he had an older brother of a Kuomintang lieutenant general, he was later transferred to the White Mansion.

In the White Mansion, Luo Guangbin successfully rebelled against Yang Qingqing, who was in charge of guarding, and Yang Qingqing, knowing that the Kuomintang was at the end of the crossbow, abandoned the secret and released 19 underground party members, including Luo Guangbin.

In 1956, Liu Debin, Luo Guangbin, and Yang Yiyan co-authored the memoir-like "Forbidden World" based on their personal experiences in prison, what they saw and heard, and this book was also the master version of "Eternal Life in Fire" and "Red Rock".

Unfortunately, for some special reasons, Liu Debin was deprived of the authorship of the author of "Red Rock". In 2001, Liu Debin died at the age of 79.

Today, the wishes of those heroes who fell on the eve of dawn have long been fulfilled, and the people of Chinese now do not have to suffer from war and live in peace, tranquility and prosperity.
