The General History of Du Shixue Tang Five Dynasties is an academic work published by Mr. Zhang Zhonggang in July 2023. The book focuses on the inheritance and development of Du Fu's poetry during the Tang and Five Dynasties periods, and explores his influence on other important poets and genres. Du Fu is known as a "poetic saint" and a "world cultural celebrity", and his works are regarded as the most solemn, magnificent and permanent light in Chinese culture.

He also studied the relevant accounts of Du Fu in official history books and private notes, and collated and inscribed Du Fu's works.

In the afterword to the "General History of Du Shixue - Compilation of the Five Dynasties of Tang", Mr. Zhang Zhonggang reviewed his research work on Du Fu over the years, saying that he encountered many difficulties and setbacks in the process of studying Du Fu, but he always persevered, and finally completed two important academic works, "Du Fu's Complete Annotations" and "The General History of Du Shixue".
