The Fenghuang Town Veterans Service Station organized 36 village and community staff in the town to conduct a thorough investigation of the elderly veterans in their respective jurisdictions, learn more about the living conditions of the veterans, and cooperate with the volunteer service team to go deep into the homes of the elderly veterans to carry out voluntary services such as cleaning and assisting in shopping.
Shangcheng Jiayuan Community in Fenghuang Town invites experts from the county hospital to carry out free clinic activities for the elderly and veterans. At the site of the free clinic activity, experts from cardiology, neurology, respiratory, orthopedics, and gynecology measured blood pressure and blood sugar for the elderly veterans and their families free of charge, comprehensively assessed and recorded the physical state of the elderly, explained the home care knowledge of elderly care, and gave scientific guidance and suggestions from multiple perspectives such as chronic disease management, rational drug use, and nutritional rehabilitation.
Fenghuang Town, Shangcheng Jiayuan Community and Sunjiazhuang Village Veterans Service Station organized the elderly veterans in their jurisdiction to participate in the collective activities organized by the village and the community - a literary and artistic program written and directed by the elderly, the scene was full of applause and laughter, and the elderly celebrated their festival with their own unique performances.
On the day of the Chung Yeung Festival, the staff and volunteers of the Jiayuan Community in Shangcheng and Sunjiazhuang Village Veterans Service Station in Fenghuang Town, together with the veterans, prepared cooking utensils, flour, meat filling, etc., and made dumplings for the elderly. Everyone made fillings, rolled dough and dumplings together, and had a great time.
