It is reported that at present, the steel cofferdam of the No. 3 main pier of the Yangtze River Bridge of Chongqi Railway has completed the bottom cover, and the non-navigable hole bridge has completed 4 cap pier caps. The foundation bored piles are in full swing, and 358 of the 414 water bored piles of the Chongqi Railway Yangtze River Bridge (Division 1) have been completed, and 450 of the 536 land bored piles have been completed. There are 2,138 bored piles for Chongming Bridge (Division 1), and 604 have been completed. Completed 23 piers.

In order to firmly support the construction of about 500,000 tons of anchor blocks, more than 2,000 piles need to be poured in an area of nearly 6,000 square meters, equivalent to the size of 15 standard basketball courts, and the deepest pile foundation reaches more than 50 meters. Due to the weak foundation and thick covering layer in the construction area, the pile foundation construction is like inserting chopsticks on the "tofu". In this regard, the CCCC Road Construction project team pioneered the deep foundation reinforcement scheme to overcome the construction difficulties and ensure the smooth progress of the project.

After the snow stopped, the builders braved the continuous cold under freezing to quickly remove the snow from the bridge deck and trusses without missing the construction schedule. In the end, the bridge with a main span of 388 meters achieved a high-precision closure with an error of no more than 2 mm.

At present, 10 cross-river channels in Jiangsu are under construction simultaneously. In the middle of the river, under the freezing point, the builders braved the cold and made every effort to sprint to the annual goal and successfully completed it.
