In recent years, Shangfu Village, Xinjie Town, Guanyang County, has taken advantage of water sources to actively explore the development model of "Party Branch + Backing Unit", giving full play to the leading role of Guilin Investment Group and Party organization, and combining market demand to develop characteristic ecological cold-water fish farming based on sturgeon to increase income for the village-level collective economy.
The cold-water fish farming project in Shangfu Village began in 2021, and in the process of promoting the project, the backing unit and the relevant leaders of Xinjie Town went to Shangfu Village for research and guidance many times, and in the early stage of the project construction, 6 breeding barrels covering an area of about 800 square meters, with a diameter of 5.5 meters and a height of 1.5 meters were built. After the completion of the breeding site, sturgeon farming is carried out in accordance with the order-based breeding mode, each batch can put more than 2,500 catties of fish fry, about 700-800 sturgeon, and the output can reach about 8,000 catties, excluding the cost of breeding and the salary of management personnel, the net income can reach more than 20,000 yuan.
In July 2023, Shangfu Village reached a supply agreement with a farmhouse in Guanyang County, which achieved remarkable results, and in just one month, the unit price of cold-water fish rose from 20 yuan/jin to 25 yuan/jin, and the annual sales reached 50,000 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 58.6%. With the continuous improvement of cold-water fish sales, the collective economic income of Shangfu Village will reach more than 120,000 yuan in 2023, a year-on-year increase of 20%.
