Introduction to the arts

Huo Huan, pen name Yujia, Han nationality, ancestral home of Wanquan County, Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province, is 85 years old. He was born in 1936 in Fengzhen County, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. In 1848, he studied primary school in Taiyuan, Shanxi. From 1949 to 1952, he studied junior high school in Shanghai.

From 1953 to 1956, he studied high school in Zhangjiakou No. 1 Middle School. From 1956 to 1961, he studied meteorology and agronomy at the Department of Agricultural Meteorology, China Agricultural University. From 1961 to 1978, he was a teacher in the Meteorological Teaching and Research Group of Hebei Agricultural University, teaching agricultural meteorology. From 1978 to 1996, he was engaged in the research of atmospheric environment and environmental impact assessment of construction projects at the Beijing Academy of Environmental Protection Sciences, and served as the deputy chief engineer of the institute. From 1996 to 2006, after his retirement, he was employed as the deputy chief engineer and permanent expert by the Environmental Engineering Assessment Center of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, engaged in the review of environmental impact assessment and the construction of the environmental impact assessment system. I love painting since childhood, followed my father to stay in the north and south of the motherland, and because of the work relationship, I was fortunate to visit the famous rivers and mountains in various places, from which I appreciated the beautiful scenery of the motherland, so as to absorb rich painting nutrition, stimulate the desire to learn the art of Chinese painting, the great rivers and mountains of the motherland are the source of my creation.

I am currently a member of the Chinese Painters Association, a director of the Artists Association of China State Organs, a director of the Culture and Art Institute of the China Academy of Urban Development, a director of the Art Committee of the Chinese Professional Calligraphers and Painters Network, and a member of the Art Committee of the Editorial Department of Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Art for the Elderly. The works are mainly landscapes and freehand peonies. He has published albums such as Huo Huan's 100 Chinese Paintings (2013), Huo Huan's Landscape Paintings (2016), and Huo Huan's Landscape Paintings (2020).
