1. Establish a foundation landscape
Step 1
Create a new 2200 x 1500 px document in Photoshop with the given settings:
Step 2
Open the landscape image. Use the Move Tool (V) to drag this image into the white canvas. Use the Free Transform tool (Ctrl-T) to rotate it a bit.
Step 3
We need to reduce the background light and particles in the sky. To do this, go to Layers > New Fill Layer > Solid Color, and select a color that is similar to the sky. Remember to set this layer under the landscape image. I turned off the landscape image to show the results.
Step 4
Open a landscape image, and then click the second icon at the bottom of the Layers panel to add a mask to the layer. Activate the Brush tool (B) and select a black soft circular brush (black soft brush) with low opacity (about 70-80%) to paint on the sky and the top of the sun.
Step 5
Create a new layer, and then select Clone Tool(S). Use this tool to remove the symbols and lines on the right.
Step 6
Open the Mountain 1 image and place it on the canvas, then rotate it to fit the existing background angle. After that, add a mask to the layer and use a black soft brush to erase its ground and the mountains to the right, allowing the shadow on the left to fade into the existing sky.
Step 7
Use the same method to make the correct misty mountains with Mountain 2 images. Flip the mask horizontally before applying it (Edit> Transform, > Flip Horizontally).
2.导入宝箱
Step 1
Open the chest image. Since the background is transparent, you just need to use the Move Tool to drag it into our working document. Place it near the foreground and use Ctrl-T to transform it like this:
Add a mask to the layer and paint at the bottom of it with a moderately soft black brush to make the section look like it's buried in the ground.
Step 2
The goal is to add a light that radiates directly from the inside of the chest in order to spread shadows at the bottom of the chest. Create a new layer underneath the chest, then use the Polygon Lasso Tool (L) to draw an oblique rectangle on the ground and fill it with color #010101.
Reduce the opacity of this layer to 30%, then go to Filters> Blur, > Gaussian Blur, and set the Radius to 10 px.
Shadows need to be a little softer, so use a layer mask to reduce the opacity around their edges.
Step 3
To create a shadow on top of a chest, create a new layer, then use the Polygon Lasso Tool to select it and fill it with color #010101.
Reduce the opacity of the shadow layer to 30% and use Control-T to transform the shadow to make it narrower and finer to fit the angle of the ground.
Step 4
Applying a Gaussian Blur to 10 PX this shadow layer and using a layer mask reduces the visibility of the top.
Step 5
Create a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer above one of the chests and set it to Clipping Mask. To reduce the saturation value to -72:
Step 6
Add a Curve adjustment layer and reduce the brightness. On the layer mask, use the layer mask to remove the dark effect on both sides of the chest and the curved detail on the inside of the top.
Step 7
Use another Curve adjustment layer to continue darkening the chest. The selected area is displayed where it is drawn on the layer mask.
Step 8
Create a new layer, change the mode to 100% soft light, and fill it with 50% gray.
Use the Midtone Range to activate the Dodge & Burn Tool (O), exposing it by about 15-40% to improve the light and shadow of the chest. You can see how I look in Normal mode and what I do in Overlay mode.
3. Make basic adjustments
Step 1
Create a Gradient Map adjustment layer on top of the layer, and then select the colors #0d0501 and #0a437b.
Step 2
Make a "Curve" adjustment layer and increase the brightness. On this layer mask, use a soft black brush to erase around the edges and sides of the scene and make the light subtly visible in the middle.
Step 3
Create another Gradient Map adjustment layer and select colors #750909 and #00601b. Reduced the opacity of the layer to 20% and painted around the chest area so that it is not affected by this adjustment layer.
Step 4
Add a Color Lookup adjustment layer, and then select Bleach Bypass.look. Reduces the opacity of the layer to 70%.
4. Add crows
Step 1
Cut off the crow and add it to the higher position on the right side of the chest. Place this layer below the Basic Adjustment layer.
Step 2
Make a Curve adjustment layer to lighten the crows. On the layer mask, paint over the shaded areas so that they are not affected by this adjustment layer.
Step 3
Create a new layer and use a small medium soft-bristled pen #1A1A19 with color to remove the excess highlights on the crow's wings.
Step 4
Create a new layer, change the mode to 100% Soft and fill with 50% gray. Use the Dodge tool to paint highlights on the crow's wings, and the Burn tool to enhance the details of the shadows.
5. Drawing light
Step 1
In this step, we will add light to the chest. Create a new layer and paint inside the chest using a soft brush #152c3c with that color. Change this layer mode to linear dodging by 100%.
Step 2
On the new layer, change the color of the brush to #85aacb to paint inside the chest, then change the mode of the layer to "Overlay 100%".
Step 3
Use the overlay mode to make a new layer, then continue to paint within this frame with a lighter color (#b4d4f1).
Step 4
Paint inside the frame again with another color (#c6d7e6) but change its mode to Soft 100%.
Step 5
Add new layers and draw more highlights for the crow and the outline of his eyes. Change this layer mode to Overlay 100%.
6. Make the light
Step 1
Open the smoke image and add it to our main canvas. Change this layer mode to linear dodging by 100%.
Go to Filters > Blur > Motion Blur and fill in the following settings:
Step 2
Use Ctrl-T to change the angle of the light so that it looks as if it is coming from inside the chest:
Step 3
Duplicate this layer a few times, then move it to the middle and other sides of the box. If needed, use a layer mask to remove any unwanted light detail outside the frame.
Step 4
Select all the light layers and use Ctrl-G to group them into a new folder. Change the mode of the group to "Linear Dodge 100%" and create a "Hue/Saturation" adjustment layer to make the blue light slightly desaturated.
Step 5
Use the Levels adjustment layer to increase the highlight of the effect.
Step 6
Create a new layer and change the foreground to #b6d4df. Press F5 to change the settings for this brush:
Use this brush to draw tiny dots flying out of the inside of your chest in the direction of the light.
Step 1
Click Ctrl-G to form the layer group and change the group's mode to 100% color dodge. The results look so much better now!
That's it!
