On the evening of 4 December, the Thai-Chinese Friendship Association held a grand dinner at Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok, to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and China. About 600 people, including Gong Taparansi, former Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand and Director of the Association of Friends of Thailand and China, Yang Xin, Chargé d'affaires a.i. of the Chinese Embassy in Thailand, as well as well-known personalities from all walks of life in politics, commerce, culture and education, Chinese associations, and Chinese-funded institutions, attended the event. Wang Xuan, a young singer and vocal master of the Department of Music of Chinese the People's Liberation Army Academy of Arts in Beijing, was invited by Gong Tapalangsi to sing "Dream Circle" and the Thai song "White Lotus" as the only special guest performer, building a bridge of Friendship between China and Thailand with his singing.

Lin Songtian, president of the Chinese Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, sent a congratulatory video to highly appreciate the development of friendly relations between the two countries in the 45 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand, and wished that Sino-Thai friendship would be passed on from generation to generation.

Yang Xin, chargé d'affaires a.i. of the Chinese Embassy, delivered a speech at the meeting: "In the 45 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, China-Thailand relations have gone through extraordinary development paths. Political mutual trust between the two countries has been deepening, economic and trade cooperation has been expanding day by day, people-to-people exchanges have become closer, and fruitful results have been achieved in all-round cooperation. ...... In the face of the severe test of the new crown pneumonia epidemic in 2020, the people of the two countries have worked together to fight the epidemic, interpreting the deep friendship of 'China and Thailand and the family' and the great spirit of the community of human destiny with practical actions. ”

Speaking on the theme of "How China Has Succeeded in 70 Years," Gong Tapalansi recounted the tremendous changes that have taken place in China over the past 45 years in his eyes. He particularly talked about China's achievements in poverty eradication, and believed that there are three key factors for the success of China's poverty alleviation: one is the stability of the government to ensure that the relevant policies introduced can take effect and achieve results; the second is that each department is working in unison towards the direction and goal of poverty alleviation; and the third is to resolutely fight corruption and use the financial budget to eliminate poverty.

Wang Xuan, a young Chinese singer, emotionally confessed in his speech: "After walking through the extraordinary 2020, we realize our dream of being well-off; entering 2021, the national flag is flying; towards 2035, we are full of hope..." Wang Xuan sang a song "Dream Circle", the song was high-pitched and bright, full of emotions, and let the melody echo throughout the banquet hall and echo in the night sky of the Chao Phraya River. The song explains the major victories won by China in the battle against poverty, laying a solid foundation for building a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way and achieving the two centennial goals. Wang Xuan sang the classic Thai song "White Lotus" in Thai, which resonated with the audience and continued to applaud. White Lotus is the common carrier of the cultures of China and Thailand, is the flower of friendship between the chinese and Thai peoples, pure and kind, fragrant bloom, she used her song to build a bridge of Sino-Thai friendship, for the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and China to add brilliant brilliance.
