In order to vigorously promote the spirit of volunteerism and polish the brand of weekend volunteer action, recently, the weekend volunteer action sponsored by the Qingdao Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League has been carried out in Shinan, Shibei, Jiaozhou, Pingdu, Laixi and other districts and cities, from promoting traditional culture and caring for children in difficulty, to promoting garbage classification and advocating civilized tourism, each volunteer action embodies the enthusiasm and dedication of young volunteers, attracts the active participation of many citizens, and injects positive youth energy into the development of the city.
In order to cultivate young people's cultural self-confidence and guide them to actively participate in cultural communication and tourism services, on May 18, sponsored by the Qingdao Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League and undertaken by the North District Committee of the Communist Youth League, the weekend volunteer action of "Visiting the Museum and Inheriting Cultural Confidence" was carried out in the Museum of Shandong University (Qingdao Campus). In the exhibition hall, the little volunteer docents explained while visiting. During the explanation, the young volunteers were dignified and generous, fluent in language, connected historical knowledge with current culture, asked questions at any time during the explanation, interspersed with small stories, exercised and grown in learning and practice, and contributed to the promotion of museum cultural knowledge.
In the early stage, the weekend volunteer action sponsored by the Qingdao Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League and undertaken by the South District Committee of the Communist Youth League - "Youth Aspirations Accompany and Strive to Be a Civilized Tourist" was carried out in Taipingjiao Park and the surrounding areas. Young volunteers from member units of Shinan District Youth Volunteer Service Federation and enthusiastic people from all walks of life widely participated. Volunteers took to the streets to promote civilized tourism and civilized travel to the general public and tourists, actively carried out civilized traffic persuasion, answered travel consultations, and actively participated in environmental protection actions, cleaned up the garbage left in the surrounding area, and jointly guarded the beautiful scenery.
In order to increase the care and help for children with special difficulties, the volunteer service activity of caring for the "children of the stars" was carried out in the rehabilitation center for autistic children in Jiaozhou City. Before the start of the activity, the staff conducted basic professional training for the young volunteers, and introduced the situation of the "star children" and the precautions for getting along. The volunteers initially mastered the skills of communicating with the "Star Kids", and chose a series of activities suitable for participating together, making biscuits with the children, playing games such as eagles and chickens, building a sense of trust in sharing and interaction, narrowing the distance between each other in the game, and building a bridge of communication.
In order to cultivate good living habits and environmental awareness of young people, and guide young people to be propagandists and practitioners of garbage classification, the environmental protection volunteer special action of the "Garbage Classification in Practice, Green and Low-carbon Creation" weekend volunteer action was held in Pingdu City, with more than 60 young volunteers actively participating. At the Pingdu Domestic Waste Classification Education Center, the young volunteers started an immersive "garbage classification education journey". The youth propaganda volunteers of the mission center led the youth volunteers to visit a number of exhibition halls such as ecological warnings and classification knowledge, and learned how to distinguish the four types of garbage, garbage sorting skills and other popular science knowledge. The young volunteers also walked into Xianhe Park and became "environmental protection guards", carefully picking up scraps of paper, plastic bottles, fruit peels, cigarette butts and other household garbage on both sides of the road and in the green belt, and sorted the garbage picked up on the spot in the way of games.
During the holiday, the young volunteers of the Little Raindrop Social Work Service Center in Laixi City set up a volunteer service station in the tourist attraction to provide citizens and tourists with services such as tourism consultation, scenic spot explanation, and order maintenance. At the same time, the youth volunteers also spontaneously organized a parade in the park to pick up garbage in the park and persuade uncivilized behaviors in a timely manner to ensure the cleanliness of the park.
