Before the domestic oil price adjustment time window on May 29, the international oil price rose for three consecutive trading days, which made the domestic oil price reduction that was already about to arrive in vain.
However, as soon as this time window passed, international oil prices reversed, ushering in a wave of "four consecutive declines" for four consecutive trading days, and hitting a new low in the past four months! So far, it has been "five consecutive declines".
During the "five consecutive declines", New York and Brent crude oil futures fell by more than 8%, which increased the probability of "downward adjustment" in the current round of domestic oil prices, which was originally "stranded".
According to relevant reports, the reason for the sudden plunge in international oil prices is mainly due to the decision of the latest meeting announced by the OPEC+ organization on Sunday, and 8 of the member countries decided to extend the voluntary production cut of 2.2 million barrels per day announced in November 2023 until the end of September this year, and then will gradually withdraw some of the production cuts depending on market conditions. In addition, the voluntary production cuts of 1.65 million barrels per day announced in April last year were extended until the end of 2025.
It is reported that the time window for the next domestic oil price adjustment is 24 o'clock on June 13. Judging from the current trend of international oil prices, it is a high probability event that oil prices will be lowered at that time, unless there is a major emergency that causes international oil prices to rise continuously.
