Project 1: On June 4, the site leveling project of Ningxia Coal Industry Company's MTP process technology upgrading project officially started, marking that the project officially entered the on-site construction stage.

The MTP process technology upgrading project is a major chemical project of the 14th Five-Year Plan of China Energy Group and Ningdong Energy and Chemical Base and the 14th Five-Year Plan of Ningxia Coal Industry Company.

The project was undertaken by the Construction Headquarters of Coal-to-Liquids Chemical Engineering, and the existing coal-based olefin units of Ningxia Coal Industry Company were upgraded by using domestic DMTO third-generation technology. The new 3.6 million tons/year methanol to olefins (DMTO-III.) plant is currently under construction, with a 100,000 tons/year ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA) plant, a 300,000 tons/year low-density polyethylene (LDPE) plant, and a 300,000 tons/year high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plant, supporting the construction of circulating water, tank farms and other auxiliary facilities.

With a total investment of about 11.8 billion yuan, the MTP process technology upgrading project of Ningxia Coal Industry Company of China Energy Group can save 4.79 million tons of raw water, 860,000 tons of standard coal, 100 million cubic meters of natural gas and reduce CO2 emissions by 2.2 million tons per year after completion and operation. The implementation of the project is of great demonstration significance for the construction of a modern coal chemical industry demonstration zone with efficient utilization of raw materials, integration of resource elements, synergy of pollution reduction and carbon reduction, advanced and mature technology, and high-end product series.

After the implementation and transformation of the project, the downstream products of propylene decreased, the downstream products of ethylene increased, and the downstream of ethylene chose to develop HDPE, LDPE and EVA products, which is in line with the development trend of the chemical product market. It not only enhances Ningxia Coal Company's right to provide differentiated coal chemical products in the market, but also enhances the company's ability to extend, supplement and strengthen the chain of the coal chemical industry, and helps the company develop with high quality.

Project 2: On June 3, the feasibility study report of Lanzhou Petrochemical Transformation and Upgrading Ethylene Transformation Project (Million Tons of Ethylene Project) was reviewed by the Party Group Meeting of the Group Company, marking a key breakthrough in the promotion of the project and creating conditions for the comprehensive promotion and construction of the project.

The transformation and upgrading ethylene transformation project of Lanzhou Petrochemical Company is a reconstruction and expansion project, and the construction site is located in the Xigu Solidification Industrial Park of Lanzhou City, which was approved by the provincial government, involving the Xigu refinery area and chemical plant area of Lanzhou Petrochemical Co., Ltd. The total investment of the project is about 23.17 billion yuan, and the transformation plan of the project can be divided into three parts:

1) Ethylene transformation: build a new 1.2 million tons/year ethylene cracking + 1.2 million tons/year quenching unit, build a new 800,000 tons/year ethylene separation, shut down a 460,000 tons/year ethylene cracking + quenching unit, and separate 460,000 tons/year ethylene after recycling, forming a pattern of one end and two tails. 240,000 tons/year of small ethylene was shut down, with a total ethylene production capacity of 1.2 million tons/year.

2) Refining transformation: After the implementation of the project, the existing crude oil processing types and processing capacity of the refining system remain unchanged, and the purpose of increasing the production of ethylene raw materials is achieved through the adaptive transformation of three sets of existing units, including 1.2 million tons/year catalytic cracking unit, 3 million tons/year diesel hydrogenation unit, and 1.2 million tons/year diesel hydrogenation. At the same time, a new PSA plant and a C2 recovery plant were built.

3) Chemical downstream support: 7 new production units (20,000 tons/year octene-1, 100,000 tons/year POE, 140,000 tons/year EVA, 450,000 tons/year FDPE, 400,000 tons/year polypropylene, 700,000 tons/year pyrolysis gasoline hydrogenation, 700,000 tons/year aromatics extraction unit), and the existing 170,000 tons/year high-density polyethylene plant was rebuilt into a 60,000 tons/year ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene plant.

Through the implementation of the transformation and upgrading ethylene transformation project, the output of refined oil products of Lanzhou Petrochemical will be reduced to 5,304,900 tons/year, and the total amount of fuel oil will be reduced by 1,268,100 tons/year (diesel will be reduced by 1,586,500 tons/year, gasoline will increase by 150,900 tons/year, and kerosene will increase by 167,500 tons/year); Chemical products increased by 1.4 million tons, including 290,000 tons of new high-end polyolefin products such as POE, UHMWPE, EVA, 375,600 tons of high-end polypropylene products, 200,000 tons of high-density polyethylene products, and 175,400 tons of low-density polyethylene products, totaling 1.04 million tons.
