AppleArcade惊喜连连两大经典游戏将登陆Switch

Today's Nintendo Face-to-Face will be rich in content, revealing a lot of excitement that is coming to the Switch. The announcement of two hidden gems that I've already experienced, Fantasian Neo Dimension and Hello Kitty: Island Adventure, is undoubtedly the most exciting highlight.

I've been subscribing to Apple Arcade since its early days, and that long-term commitment has paid off handsomely. Especially when Nintendo revealed in the face-to-face that Fantasian, the highly anticipated hand-crafted RPG, is coming to Switch with a new look. Originally exclusive to Apple Arcade, it was one of the best games of the year in 2021 thanks to its touch combat system. Despite being three years late, players are finally able to experience for themselves the charm of one of the best RPGs of the 20s on consoles.

The success of Hello Kitty: Island Adventure will also arrive on PC and consoles in 2025, and two years later it will become the most popular game on Apple Arcade. More and more Arcade titles are starting to be cross-platform, such as Stitch, What the Car? and more. These two games, once widely released, are bound to cause a craze.

For those who have overlooked Arcade, the breakthrough performances of these two games may surprise them. While there is no shortage of skepticism, the mobile gamer community has long found value in the service, despite the skepticism about Arcade.

Since its inception in 2019, Apple Arcade has been plagued by controversy. Some people questioned the appeal of its games, arguing that "no one will play". It is true that the limitations of iOS devices are frustrating for Android users, but this is not much different from the competition between Xbox and PlayStation. Players who have reservations about subscription services are rightly worried, given that a small monthly fee could be paid for a service that is rarely used, and the game library can change at any time.

However, the presentation of Nintendo's face-to-face meeting should make those who easily dismiss the Arcade re-examine. Since its release, Apple Arcade has been the best value for money in the gaming world, and Fantasian is proof of that. Three years ago, you could enjoy a wide range of games with a few months of subscription for less than $30, including many indie and mobile classics. On other platforms, you may have to pay much more than that for the digital version of Fantasian.

I'm not trying to boast about my foresight (though I do be proud of it), but I'm a reminder of the toll of ignoring a platform that is always stable. Exclusive titles like Sonic Dream Team and Puyo Puyo Puzzle Pop are worth subscribing to, and monthly novelties like Rabbids: Legends of the Multiverse keep the service fresh. You can wait for the game to cross platforms and make a one-time purchase, but considering the large number of high-quality game ports every year, Arcade's monthly fee seems like a more cost-effective option.

So, why bother sneering at Apple Arcade because of a meme? Let go of pride, and you may be missing out on your next favorite.
