When he first started hiking, Ma Wei only pulled a rudimentary trolley loaded with basic household items such as tents, cassette stoves, and gas tanks.
He walked all the way from Sanya to Haikou, and then took a boat to Zhanjiang, Guangdong.
After passing through nine provinces, including Guangdong, Guangxi, Hunan, Hubei, Henan, Shanxi, and Shaanxi, Ma Wei finally returned to his hometown of Linxia City, Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province, after 194 days.
Every day on the road, Ma Wei is waging a tenacious struggle against the natural environment. Especially the freezing rain in Hunan made him remember it vividly.
It was a February 2024 day, the temperature in Hunan had dropped below zero, and Ma Wei was wearing a cotton coat he bought from Guangxi, a fur hat and gloves, and two pairs of cotton socks on his feet.
Even so, he shivered from the cold. That night, the freezing rain kept falling, and Ma Wei could only hide in the modified "trekking car" compartment to rest.
This carriage is welded with aluminum alloy, and there are no thermal insulation facilities at all, so Ma Wei can only rely on electric blankets and wet quilts to keep out the cold.
The carriage was damp, the inner walls were covered with a layer of water droplets, and he curled up in his clothes and struggled through that cold night.
In addition to the test of the weather, Ma Wei also has to face various emergencies on the road. Once, at night in the field, the tires of his car burst, and he had to stop and wait for rescue.

Ma Wei walks about 30 to 40 kilometers a day, and even walks nearly 50 kilometers on a day at most. His basic living expenses are all earned through live broadcast tips.
Although his income is not stable, he once earned 2,000 yuan on the highest day. During the whole hike, he earned a total of 31,800 yuan, which was mainly used for food, phone bills and occasional hotel expenses.
Although many people questioned him "why not find a serious job", Ma Wei felt that by walking and live streaming, he could not only make money, but also let more people see his story.
Ma Wei's diet is also very simple, mainly relying on gas tanks and cassette stoves purchased online for cooking. Since he can't cook, his three meals tend to be a little potato, rice and somen noodles.
Sometimes, he would be helped by passers-by, such as in the cold of February, when a kind man in Hunan gave him a pair of cotton shoes, which made him feel a little warm in the cold winter.
His mother also often sent some hometown specialties, such as Linxia hand-grabbed mutton, which became the most precious delicacy on his way.
On the way, Ma Wei accidentally picked up a small black dog and named it "Land Rover", and this puppy became his loyal companion on his trekking.
Ma Wei's story has attracted widespread attention on the Internet, and the number of fans has grown from zero to more than 10,000. Many people questioned him about putting on a show, and even wondered if he got in the car to rest after the camera was turned off.
