Baoyu, whose personality and morality do not bear fruit, can only be a Taoist believer, passively avoiding the world, messing with girls, doing nothing, and becoming a cowardly rebel and incompetent good person.
Baoyu is not only sharply opposed to his father's concept, but he is deeply poisoned by etiquette, so he conflicts fiercely between rebellion and filial piety, and has to release his pain with madness when he has no choice.
Why can't you really rebel against the religion? Just because he indulged in the comfort and special status given by the family, he broke his wings in pleasure, fell victim to etiquette, and finally escaped into Buddhism.
On the other hand, although he is very cowardly, Baoyu is very stubborn in some aspects, and no matter how hard and soft he is to attack people, he cannot change his problem with girls, and he has a physical infatuation with girls, and he is proud of his so-called spiritual lewdness.
As a result, Jin Chuan was persecuted and died, but he still did not realize it. His stubbornness is also manifested in his greed for men, and he is very close to Qin Zhong, Liu Xianglian, Jiang Yuhan, etc., even if he was severely beaten by his father because of this, he did not change in the slightest. His bad roots are clearly manifested in the characteristics of being spoiled, relying on his grandmother's doting and indulging in recklessness.
He claims to be lustful and not disorderly, and has great respect for girls, and he can't be compared with Jia Lian and other prostitutes, but his spirit is no longer pure, and he is like "twisting candy" and pestering mandarin ducks and others to eat rouge on his mouth, it is difficult to say that he just likes it like a child, and it seems to be respectful in his courtesy to Ping'er, but in fact, there are indescribable feelings in sympathy. The gentleman's vices are deep-rooted, and there is an element of disgrace in his love for girls.
