(June 18, 2024) – Recently, the 19th China CSR/ESG International Forum and the launch ceremony of the "2024 GoldenBee CSR China List" were held in Beijing. Mars China won the 2024 GoldenBee CSR China List. At the same time, three sustainable innovation cases from Mars China, namely the "Small Town Youth" entrepreneurship support program, Dove's "She Academy" and "Sustainable MA GO", were also successfully selected into the "2024 Golden Bee Responsible Competitiveness Casebook".

Since 2021, Mars China has partnered with the Mutual Economic Foundation to promote a new business model in China, the Small Town Youth Entrepreneurship Support Program, which aims to bring retail and entrepreneurial opportunities to young people in small China. Mars China relies on its rich product portfolio and nationwide sales network to provide a well-established business model and scenario for young people in rural areas. So far, the project has successfully supported nearly 400 young people in small towns in 26 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government to embark on the road of entrepreneurship.

In 2023, Dove, a Mars brand, joined hands with the China Rural Development Foundation to launch Dove's "She Academy" project, combining local resources and diversified industries to provide customized training courses for women such as homestay services, folk cultural activities and local specialty promotion, and stimulate the potential of rural women through resource support. This also coincides with Dove's new brand vision "Joy Power" released in 2023. By the end of 2023, the program had provided skills training to more than 5,000 rural women in China, with a cumulative course duration of more than 12,000 hours.

Gather the power of young people to promote the development of rural environmental protection with innovative inspiration

In order to raise public awareness of sustainable development issues, Mars Wrigley, a Mars company, organically combines young people's creativity with rural practices, and launched the "Sustainable MA GO" environmental innovation program for college students through "Give to Asia", aiming to encourage young people to come up with innovative solutions to environmental issues such as waste generation, disposal and reuse. After 2021, as the rural tourism boom heats up, the environmental pressure in rural areas also increases, and the project has become a platform to connect rural and university youth, and stimulate young people's attention and thinking about environmental protection issues through education and training.

Since its inception in 2014, the program has attracted more than 55,000 college students to participate in the past ten years, affecting more than 78 million people, and has aroused widespread social attention. The Class of 2023 "Sustainable MASHANG GO" project was launched in 58 colleges and universities in 18 provinces across the country, receiving creative proposals from 960 student teams, attracting more than 16,000 students to help rural environmental protection with creativity.
