"Blood donation is a public welfare undertaking full of love and responsibility. As a high-risk maternal treatment center in Hubei Province, we may encounter pregnant women who need blood transfusion every day, and the medical staff feel the importance of blood resources, and the Wuhan Blood Center also gives maximum protection. To this end, every summer, the hospital will carry out blood donation activities, not only to save people with superb medical skills, but also to save lives with blood. After Huang Ziming, vice president of Hubei Provincial Maternal and Child Health Hospital, made a mobilization speech on the spot, he took the lead in stretching out his arm and donating blood for the fifth time. Zheng Jie, the 54-year-old director of the reproductive department, said with a smile: "We must seize the last years of being able to donate blood." Surgeon Luo Yanmei, who just joined the company last year, and a group of young companions also rushed to join the blood donation team. There are also many employees who come from the operating table, outpatient clinics, wards, and even from their homes to participate in voluntary blood donation activities.
Among the blood donors, there are also many family members of patients. Mr. Lei, who accompanied his wife for postpartum checkups, was infected by the enthusiasm of the medical staff, and after settling his wife, he signed up to donate 200 ml of blood, "Donating blood in the hospital is very meaningful, and I will participate in this kind of activity next time I encounter this kind of activity in the province." ”
Within a week, the hospital's Jiekou Campus, Guanggu Campus, and Hongshan Campus each organized a blood donation activity for medical staff, and a total of 274 medical staff successfully donated 68,400 ml of blood.
